| Zoey Grace Zoey will be going to the surgeons Monday May 19. She is not doing any better. She lays most of the time. She can stand up a little bit, not much though. I had to give her a bath today because she laid in her pee. She smelled really bad. Hopefully they will be able to fix her. I will let all of you knw what I find out. Please keep us in your prayers. |

| We all will be praying. Don't give up any hope ok, AAI/AAS can be repaired through surgery, which I am sure the Specialist will want to do ASAP, but once she is in and out of surgery and the healing begins, she will be able to live a normal and happy life. Thank God you caught this before anything drastic (like paralyzation or worse). You have 1 more day, keep her calm and still, b/c she is in a very fragile state right now. |

| Think nothing but positive thoughts and whisper them in her ear...she has the strength to get through this if you stay strong. My Brooke has an incurable brain disease and couldn't walk or stand, she peed on herself too. I nursed her back to health and now she runs and jumps. Some of my vets didn't think she was going to make it, but I stayed positive and would tell her only positive things. I didn't cry around her. My holistic vet said that she could feel my strength and that people who give up usually have dogs that do so also. Keep your head up...fight until the end. We'll be thinking of you...

Please if they tell you there is nothing they can do and you should put her down.. Get a second opinion. AAI can be repaired and Babybear is living proof of what can happen if it isn't caught in time.. But just remember this can be fix.. Do not let them tell you differently.. If she is breathing now then there is a chance.. they will tell you she might not make it through surgery, but they tell you that with all surgeries.. This is a very scary surgery because they are cutting into the neck, but like I said Babybear was a worst case and he made it through just fine.. He may not be able to walk with out help, but he wakes up every morning beside me and gives his momma his stinky Babybear kisses and he plays with me and that is all I ask for.. He does walk in his wheelchair but he needs that or he falls over.. That does not bother me at all.. I still have him and he has a happy healthy loving life.. So Please do not let them tell you differently.. Sending cyber hugs to both of you. Good luck tomorrow and if you need me for anything either Pmail me or email Babybear's email ADDY and I will get right aback to you.. His email addy is Babybearswheels@aol.com.. I check it every day.. Again good luck hon.. Gentle belly rubs to Zoey Grace
