It's so wonderful your little Scooter is getting better every day! .. Your husband is a special man to try and give comfort to his Scooter, not many men would lay on the bathroom floor! lol....Scooter will feel so much better when his bandages come off .......I will be wishing him the best!

Yeah, my husband's a keeper for sure.

I wish I had a picture of it: 6'2", 220# and bad hip lying on the floor next to a 2.5# yorkie wrapped in green bandages

Scooter is doing very well. His energy is coming back and he wants out of his room. Every once in awhile he will move too quickly or turn a certain way and give out a YELP, so he has to stay in the bathroom to keep his activity level down for his own protection. We have a gate on the doorway so he's not closed up in there.
He took the bandage off of his leg during the night (just from the IV site) but I was going to remove it today, anyway.) He limps with that leg still, but the dr said that he would do this since that side of the body is sore. I only have to medicate him for pain once during the day and again at bedtime. His appetite is good and no more diarrhea.

I'm making him a special shirt/vest to wear for his return visit to Dr. Downs on Friday. I'll post pics this week.

Thanks for all of the prayers and get well wishes you have sent to Scooter. They have made all the difference in the world to his recovery.

Sounds like Scooter is on the road to recovery. Bet it's hard to not have him running around by your side. But have to do what have to do. Can't get around it.

Oh I am so happy to hear Scooter is doing well. I was thinking of him today and had to go digging for this thread to see how things were!

After reading it all and getting caught up I have chills just thinking of how great of a mommy and daddy you and your huby are. Scooter is one blessed little guy. I hope he continues to recover well. Please know I am thinking of you and little Scooter.
