Bump at injection site My little one went in last Thursday for her shots and she has a bump under her left shoulder blade, she got three shots at the same visit...one for rabies one for distemper and for the life of me I can't remember the third one right now. Is it normal for there to be a bump after 5 days. It has gotten smaller but she does seem to be a little lethargic. Any advise?

eek. No. Tiredness the first night and a bump the next day is normal. Nothing should be out of the ordinary 5 days later. I'd call the vet. I pray all is well.

Update on Katie Thanks for the input. I just called the Vet and she said that it sounds like a reaction to the distemper shot and I can do one of two things. 1) Bring her in and they will give her some pain meds ot 2) give her a half of a baby asprin. I'm going to opt for the baby asprin since I don't feel comfortable giving her doggie vicodin. What do you think?

I'd give her a half baby aspirin and a dab of Nutri-Cal. Please update us

Nutri-Cal or Nutri-Stat are what I consider to be a necessity to all Yorkie owners. It is a tube of highly packed nutritional calories that can save a life with a dab. The reason I suggested it was because of your baby's lethargy. I give a dab any time I think they'll be stressed....a long day out, a trip to the vet's, after the runs or vomitting, etc. You can get it at your vet's office, but it is cheaper to get at petege.com (my favorite site because of the awsome prices!)
