:( oh bleu, oh bleu prayers are with you. :) |
I'm sure Vicki will get on to update and give all the details as soon as she gets a chance. She should be arriving home in the next 10 minutes or so. I know they did a full blood panel which all came back normal and they did do a flouroscopy with NO collapsing trachea. They said lungs, trachea, and esophagus looked clear from what they could see. He was having bad wheezing/coughing spells all day today so the vets there all got to see them themselves finally. His vets have diagnosed him with tracheitis and/or esophagitis (inflammation of the trachea and esophagus). It could be because of gastroesophageal reflux. They have him on three different meds and Vicki is to keep him completely calm for the next week. They said he should start to get better pretty quickly on these meds. If he's not doing any better by Monday she'll have to bring him back to put a scope down his esophagus because worst case scenario he could have something lodged in there...or possibly something going on with his stomach. So...good news for today...hopefully these meds will help and Bleu Boy will be all back to normal! It was great seeing Vicki and her neice today, and spending time with Cynthia (crb) and Gayla (Layla's Mom). And of course seeing Bleu Boy and Princess Jill! |
Vicki and Bleu, you are still in my prayers and I hope the meds work! ;) For myfairlacy and any other sweet veterans on here....is there some way, maybe through someone with a paypal website or something that we can set up a place for people to send donations to Vicki to help ease the pain of the medical costs? I dont know anything about organizing anything like that, but if someone were to set something up, I know Id be very interested in helping with her bills. I cant imagine the financial burden on top of her worry for Bleu and would like to do what I can to help. |
Vicki, I am going to bed now, but wanted you to know that I am thinking of you. Hopefully you all are sleeping and we can catch up tomorrow. Hugs, Janie |
My thoughts and prayers go out to Bleu and Vicki!! Thanks Michele for the update!! |
Thanks for the update! I hope the medicine works for Bleu... Still praying that he will be all better soon :getwell: |
Hugs & prayers Vicki. May this medicine work quickly and may Bleu have a quiet spirit about him this next week |
Thanks for the update! Vicki and Bleu have been on my mind. Sounds like good news to me and I hope and pray he gets better and stops the wheezing! |
Thanks for the update. I was wondering what that outcome was. Our prayers will be with him for a resolution to all this and a speedy recovery. |
praying for you and Bleu Boy... |
Wow about 7 posts up just totally shows me the love of our YT family. I would ask that at this time no one do anything for us as God has been faithful. He has seen us through this valley too. We are ever greatful. I have contacted several pet insurances and we do not qualify for any because we have already provided him treatment. It is the weirdest system with insurance but trust me I have exhausted my resources. I was prepared for another $2 grand but our bill Friday was only $300.00. GOD IS GOOD I paid it no problem. The emergency trip was $200.00 and they added it to my bill that we are paying out which the balance is 2 grand. It has been all the way up to 8 grand so to have a 2 grand balance we are seeing through this tunnel finally. AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH IF ANYTHING ANYONE COULD CONTACT TEXAS A&M I just would not feel comfortable any other way. OK ON TO BLEUS HEALTH! HE IS DOING SOOOOOOO GOOD TODAY! My husband got up at around 6 am and let him out and he ate and got in bed with us. He had a couple of episodes. Me being so exhausted I could not get up. Mark and I gave Bleu his meds at 12:00 today NO EPISODES ALL DAY He had one at about 6 pm. He is eating and drinking like a horse. He is playing and he even is doing the sweetest thing. He is getting this heart with a squeaker in it and just gripping it in his mouth and holding on to it for dear life untill he falls asleep. IT IS THE HEART I BOUGHT HIM BEFORE HE WENT INTO AAI/AAS SURGERY and I begged him to live. He is real attatched to that toy.I take his toys and put them away and bring others out so he always is entertained and thinks he has a new TOY! He took his medicine at 12:00 and then again at 6 pm and I will stay up and give it to him again at about midnight or 1 am. HE HAS NOT HAD ANY EPISODES SINCE THE 6 pm dosage. YOUR PRAYERS ARE WORKING. THEY ARE WORKING FOR US ON THE FINANACIAL END AND THEY ARE WORKING AS FAR AS HIS HEALTH! GOD IS GREAT AND SO MINDFUL OF OUR EVERY NEED. At about 7 pm tonight a peace came over me about BLEU . I have also came leaps and bounds from FRIDAY NIGHT because Friday night I was thinking to myself ( I HOPE IM NOT ONE OF THESE PARENTS THAT HAVE TO GIVE MY DOG UP FOR ADOPTION BECAUSE I CAN NOT TAKE CARE OF HIM) I WOULD NEVER DO THAT BUT YOU DO GET TO A POINT TO WHERE YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING ALL YOU KNOW TO DO. GOD SHOWED UP! HE ALWAYS DOES. IM NEVER GIVING BLEU UP EVER! I WILL FIGHT FOR HIS LIFE TO THE VERY END! I will come back and post recent pictures of him holding on to his red heart so you can see him. HE IS MY HEART ! Thank you all for your prayers there are so many posts for me to respond individually. Just know I love you all to pieces! If you have a direct question or wanna make sure of anything please by all means send me a personal message! Hugs Bleus Mommy! |
