| Red in the Eyes? I read somewhere that it was bad when there's red in the whites of our babies eyes. Being a paranoid mother that I am, I scooped my little baby up & spread his eyes a little bit. In the whites of his eyes, there are red veins - it's not overly red. Should I be worried?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If it's too red - then it's probably some form of conjunctivitis and would need antibiotic ointment for the eyes. Is there any discharge? If you look at the inside conjunctiva of your own eye - you'll see that it's sort of this nice pink color - their inside lid should be similar. If it looks irritated, and there is discharge (esp. if it is greenish) and if there is an odor - you probably want to take him in.

| He doesn't have any discharge.. aside from the usual muck in the eyes but I don't think it's green & it doesn't smell. I was just worried about the veins but I think he's fine! Thank you all so much!
