OMG Susie I know this was a couple of days ago she may be walking by now but I just have to say... "Way to go TinkerBeauty!" you'll be playing in no time.

She sure is trying hard. She is standing for several minutes before she sits down (not falls) now. You can see her little legs just trembling but she keeps getting up and trying. So far she hasn't walked on her own. When she moves her front legs, her back ones just can't hold her butt up and she ends up dragging her little butt on the floor. The therapist said not to let her do that at all, so Barb picks her up and carries her in the sling I made if she can't work with her. That's what I'll do this weekend.

I get her all to myself alone! Barb and Peter are going away this weekend, so they said I could bring her home for the weekend if I thought I could manage it. So I'm gonna try. We'll try together! If I can't do it, I can take her to the Vet school and Donald - one of the techs that worked with her in the beginning - said he would watch her there.

I'm so excited to have her. Barb lets her sleep on their bed and she doesn't try to get off. I'm a little nervous about that. She used to jump all over the place at night,:doghop: I hope she'll stay put and not hurt herself. Maybe I'll just get her baby crate out of the closet and put it on the bed for her to sleep in.

That's wonderful that you get her for the whole weekend! Will she even fit into her "baby" crate? :)

It is so good to hear the great news. I am so happy things are getting better for the both of you. You sound like your feeling better.
Would it be possible to put your mattress on the floor for the weekend or maybe one of those side rails they make so that toddlers don't fall out of bed? That way you wouldn't have to worry about her falling off of the bed. Just a couple of quick thoughts. Hope you both continue to heal. Enjoy your time together. We will definitely be watching for an update to see how it goes.

I know you'll both be in total bliss this weekend. It brings me such joy to think of you together. I don't think she'll have an opportunity to try to walk because you'll be in each other's arms all week. Yay! There's time for more rehab during the week. Enjoy your precious baby Tink. Oh Susie...Oh Tink...how I loved reading your precious words of encouragement. I have total faith in Tink's spirit, I believe she will walk again. But for this week end, just enjoy the time together. She certainly knows the love you have for her...and vice-versa...you have each other, that is a blessing in itself. I am so very happy for you both, I am beside myself. Winston wants Tink to know he's been thinking about her and praying for her well-being...he misses his friend...and sends loving smooches her way. Please take care...hope you have the time of your life with your sweet baby girl...as always, you are in my forever prayers!!!

Good grief! I started bawling, Susie, when I read your post from the 9th. Just soooo happy for you and Tink. God certainly works in mysterious way---His ways aren't ours, are they?
