| Neutering Question for My Baby Boy Hi all, My lil guy will get neutered on Friday morning. I feel so bad for doing this to him, but know that it must be done...He's six months old. What should I be prepared to do when I pick him up from the vet? I think he will have to wear one of those special collars... Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much, Kellie |

| Has he really been at the vet since Friday? They usually release them the same day or the day after. He will have to wear an e-collar unless he doesn't bother his stitches through a onesie. No jumping or running for at least a week to ten days. No bathing until the stitches come out (ten to fourteen days). Since it was done Friday, he should be eating, drinking, peeing and pooping by now. He may be lethargic, especially if he is on pain meds but there is nothing you can do about that.

| Mine got neutered on 3/17. He also had 14 teeth removed. He was really sleepy for about 3 days and then he did tire easily for another couple of days. But he was running and jumping on and off the couch. I didn't like him doing that but he did it before I could get to him. He is doing great now. We didn't bathe him but he was ready for a bath; seemed like his head and face was kinda oily and greasy. Good luck with your little guy! He"ll do just fine!

| No No, he is schedule to get neutered this coming Friday, April 11th, so I have the entire weekend to spend with him...I'm just nervous and feel bad for him already...I love him sooo much and I don't want him to go through any discomfort. I can see that I am going to have to sleep with him on the floor, because he normally sleeps in my bed and hops off to go to the potty...Thanks for your response.... Kellie Concerned Mommy |

| Thanks for your post. My little guy got a major hair cut, he is kinda wearing his hair short these days (try shaved, he looks really tiny now) so I will give him a bath this week to keep him clean...poor little thing. Feel so bad doing this to him...but I have to, it's the responsible pet owner thing to do... |

| I just got my boy Jamie neutered and 10 teeth pulled last Wednesday. I did stop by the store ahead of time and get some baby onsies. When he got home he whined and layed on me ALOT for the first couple of days but he's like that. His vet calls him Hollywood because he is such a good actor. Anyway, I did give him pain meds as directed and kept a onsie on him. He pee'd outside as soon as he got home and poop'ed the next day. He can't have a bath until he goes at the end of this week and gets his stitches out. Now he is just going crazy because I won't let him play really hard or jump on and off stuff. Good luck! I'm sure your baby will do great. Keep us updated please.

| I just had Frederick neutered last week and he did great. He was back to his normal self that same night. He did not have to wear a collar and he never messed with his stitches at all. A week later the stitches were removed and you would never know he had the surgery. It was so much easier than I expected it to be! |
