| Opinions please... sick after spay? Peanut was spayed on Monday. Just when I think we're starting to get "back to normal" with her behavior I think we may have other symptoms to worry about. After some research on here I wonder if she may have somehow contracted tonsillitis or something else. Pretty much for the last few days she has been swallowing a lot more than usual like 4 to 6 times in a row. She also has bad breath and this is not normal for her since she is only 6 months old and I brush her teeth every other day. She has nasal discharge that is runny and seems to be clear, almost like a water/fluid. She has sneezed some, but it's hard to tell if it is reverse sneezing or not. Her gums are dark pink with some gray-ish areas along the teeth which seems strange, but I can't remember if that's how they were before or not. Granted, this could be her reaction to the surgery and the trachea tube they used during surgery... I just don't know. I feel like I have bothered the vet so much, but they just don't seem to understand how much she means to me. (Besides the point, we paid SO MUCH money to get her spayed, they should be kissing my butt... thank god for YT because I know you guys care and understand where I'm coming from) She has been so lethargic lately and I can't help but wonder if this could be an underlying cause and it isn't JUST her spay. Advice? Questions?

| Ugh. Just sympathy. We just spent a ton on Sam's LP surgery only to have to go to the ER vet because the vet doesn't have any way to contact them after hours or on the weekends... Don't feel bad - just call them or make an appt.

| Don't feel bad, thats why they went to school and became a vet. That is what I tell my patients when they need something(ie for pain) and they say dont call the doc, he's asleep. btw I'm a nurse that works 7p-7a shift. I will tell them that is why they get paid the big bucks.
