| Mascot My pup also came to me sick, we bought him at a pet store and now I know better then to do that. He came with yeast in his ear and had tape worms and we have been fighting giardia for 2 months... he is on his 4th round of meds..... arggggg. I think this is why god makes them so cutsie!!! And by the way my husband told me a yorkie is like a cat, not even a real dog.... now my big bad green beret holds our lil baby more then me!!!!! They have a way of melting hearts don't you worry about your hubby!!!! Take care and I hope your baby is better very soon! Dot

| I had the same thing happen to Kaba, the morning after I brought her home. I was stressing and wondering what was wrong! Turns out it was just the anal glands. I'm sure thats the problem with yours too. The vet did everything except show me how to fix the problem. I didnt learn that until a few months later. Its not fun expressing (I think thats what they call it) and I still don't have the hang of it.

| I hope your baby feels better soon and that the vet can figure out what the problem is so it can be avoided in the future.. I have my pup's anal glands expressed once a month. Certain things need to be done, (but I cannot bring myself to do it). love being sent your way!

| Awww your not a bad mommy. Everything will be okay. Sometimes pups do fall sick because of their weaker immune system. Poop test will tell a lot and should be done as soon as you can. Mine came with ear infection and then roundworm infection and hubby was hard to deal with too when we first got our yorkie because he never had a dog. I don't think he was a dog person either. My hubby is bonded with our yorkie now but it took 6 months I think. Some hubbies falls in love sooner, mine took a little longer but at least it happened. *hugs to you*

I took her to the vet last week Wednesday.. she had a ear infection.. they did a Giardia test on her.. everything came out a-ok... They gave her a dewormer and sent her off.. said to come in next week (today) for her other shot... Well... last night Evie took a poopie.. and she had worms needless to say.. I've been up all night cleaning EVERYTHING... but I still feel like they're all over me (they weren't).. my poor baby.. I feel so bad for her ... I hope your case isn't the same... good luck!

| should I take Gracie to the vet What is coccidia? Tricksie is having the poops again and she only drags her behind afterwards, thought she was cleaning it. She has been to the Vet 3 times in the last 2 months but was also vomiting, she is not doing it this time. Thought it was because I introduced her to one teas. of Innova EVO canned 3 days ago.

http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&A=680 There are many things that can cause diarrhea and if you are changing her diet a lot or adding new things to it then that could be the cause. Young puppies are more likely to get coccidia and it would have to be diagnosed by your vet checking a stool sample and it is not always easy to detect in a stool sample. From what I have heard about the canned Innova Evo I think you would be much better off finding a food that is not so high in protein. All it takes is one bite to mess up their digestive system. I would give her a teaspoon of plain canned pumpkin twice a day and if the diarrhea continues I would get her to the vet again. | |

| I could not get her to eat the pumpkin so I froze it, maybe that will make her eat it because she loves ice. She is so full of energy and there has been no blood in her poop, it is like pudding with some mucus at times. She is pooping less every day but if she is still not better tomorrow, I will take her to the Vet. I did look up coccidia and am sure that is not her problem. Thanks

| Thanks for the update. I am glad you took her to the vets. Do you know where she possibly got the giardia? |
