That is great news about the emergency vet sending the records to your personal vet. Something that I have begun since adopting Charlie, I always ask for a copy of his file (ie visit and notes the doctor makes in his file) and store in a binder at home. That way, if he is taken somewhere else, I don't have to try to remember dates, etc. Also, copies of blood tests are essential to have in your binder. Mine is sectioned with visits (their records), blood tests, vaccinations and miscellaneous such as new foods, etc. Both of my vets are more than willing to give me copies at no charge. Warmly, Deborah PS I am still appalled at the way he spoke to you and so glad you brought Cosmo home. |
Wow what a roller coaster you have been on!! Thank goodness Cosmo is doing better..I hope he continues to improve!! :) Dawn |
Wow I just read the whole thread, I am so sorry you and your baby had to go throu all this craziness:( I hope for your baby's full recovery and you should definitely go to your vet that you trust for a check up just to make sure about all the things that others mentioned. I am so glad you pulled your baby out of that mad house. Ugh how unbelievable some vets are by saying you are not getting your dog if you dont pay in full. |
Just waking up, its been a restless week, were scared to let him sleep unsupervised so someone is always waking up every 5 minutes at night to check on him. Hes doing wonderfully he just finished his food, took his medicine. Hes alert and trying to walk. He sits up from time to time but we always have our hands on him just incase he stumbles. He is definitely improving and enjoying the attention!! Thanks everyone for your posts I do read them all! |

Thats a good idea, the way i've been doing it is keeping the receipts in date order. So like if he goes in to have his rabies shot, they give me a receipt that says rabies shot and I put it in order. One year I had a chart, and you check off the date and the vaccine that worked too. |

Anyway, I went to http://www.YTCA.org and found a breeder close to me. I called her and she was more than happy to tell me about this great vet hospital, she was SO nice:) If there aren't any breeders of Yorkies nearby, try to find another toy breed organization (Chihuahua, Maltese, etc.) and go from there. Good breeders KNOW which vets are good and which aren't and they should be more than happy to help you:D HTH:love: |

Wow just now reading this thread... Bless your heart.. Praying everything works out .. Our babies are so precious and so fearless of everything .... They think they are strong and can do anything so innocently.... They are nothing more than true infants 0-3 months of age Vicki |
