| bald spot with scab Hello everyone, i have a yorkie she is 7 months old and today my mom was searching the puppy's coat like a daily routine and she found a bold spot on her back and a black scab with blood. we are not sure what it is. has anyone ever expierenced this with there yorikies? i am very scared i dont know if it is going to spread. thanks everyone |

| hmm... my guess would be a bug bite.... hopefully not a tick... there wasn't a bug still attached was there?? Layla has a bald spot on her head right now... same thing.. it was a large scab at one point.. and now hair just doens't grow there... i think mites might also cause bald and bleeding... i'd proabbly get it checked out just to be safe. |

| How big was the spot? Sometimes Yorkies can get a hotspot that we are not aware of because of all the hair and then it heals or scaps over. If it is a spot where she could have reached by scratching then it might have been caused by that. It is probably nothing to worry about. I like to keep aloe vera jell on hand to doctor any little skin irritations they might get. |
