Thanks for the update. Vicki (Bleu Boy Barber) has been at A&M with Bleu. He had surgery done on his neck there. She was VERY happy with A&M. You might want to talk to her.

Now the allergies make sure shes not on any chicken or beef Once you get her off all that the allergies should go away unless its a environmental allergy

She really is strong I wish I was as strong as she is...

We are not sure what she is allergic to - it could be any number of things...the hardest part is trying to figure it out I am switching her food and she also has to be bathed with a certain shampoo...we re-arranged everything moved the litter box into another room because we thought that maybe she could be allergic to that, and we have also gotten rid of the plastic food bowls that I just bought her a couple of weeks ago I ordered new ones online today.

She is on meds now and hopefully it will get rid of her infection...I just hope I can keep her allergies at bay

She will be ok. LP - IMO should be done by an Certified Ortho Specialist. Our little ones have such little tiny legs, and once opened up you will need an expert (Ortho Specialist) in case any 'creative or artist' work needs to be done. After care is important and must be taken seriously, she'll need to be contained and limited for at least 8 weeks.

She probably has a staph infection (not as bad as you think, ok) - but this can happen as a result of the scratching, thus allowing bacteria into the area. You should wait until the infection has cleared before you do any type of surgery. Clavamox is for the infection. Just becareful b/c she can have a reaction to it. Roxy was on the same thing - for the same thing and on day 8 she had massive diarrhea. At that point, I should have stopped the antibs, but I didn't know that I could, I thought I had to finish until day 10. Well, big mistake, she had diarrhea for 2 WEEKS

The Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine, but this takes a while to build up in her system to work, so don't expect instance results.

All in all - she will be ok. I have gone through ALL of this - including the LP -

Thank you so much. She is doing fine on the Clavamox and has actually been on it before (when she had Coccidia). Stedman was on it once when he was just a puppy and did fine on it too...so sorry to hear that your baby had a bad reaction to it I guess all babies are different..

She is doing better and not going so crazy with the itching, thank God - that was just awful

Thank you so much I'm not sure when the surgery will be as I am still in search of "the perfect surgeon" (if there even is such a thing ) and we need to get rid of this infection before she goes in for surgery...I just don't want to risk anything with her.

I did see your post in my other thread and thank you so much. I had actually ordered her some shampoo already before I got to read it...it is Doc Ackerman's Herbal Colloidal Oatmeal Shampoo and is supposed to be WONDERFUL. It has excellent, all natural ingredients in it which I just loved. I just got it in today and I will probably either be bathing her tomorrow (have to shampoo the carpets first and I'll see how I feel afterwords lol) or either this weekend. Hopefully we will have excellent results with it...I have high hopes

Do you wash her blankets and clothes in hyperallergenic, non fragranced laundry soap?
I had to switch for both my son & Bailey. It really made a difference.
There are several brands on the market now.
I also switched her to Nature's Variety foods, they also come in grain free.
It is hard to figure out what the trigger is, just a bit of trial & error.

You know, I don't. This is something that I do plan on changing though as I have read about it. I have to go to the store tomorrow anyway, so I will most certainly be picking up some hypoallergenic detergent. If you don't mind my asking, which brand do you use?

Right now I am trying them on Orijen 6 Fresh Fish with Sea Vegetables (as there is no meat) and they seem to absolutely LOVE it. Although it seems as though Orijen is having problems making the food now as there is a shortage of fresh fish in the US. They haven't announced yet if this is a temporary, or permanent thing, so I am kind of just waiting. If it turns out that they won't continue making the food, I think I am going to try the Nature's Variety Instinct as this is something that I can buy locally, and it also contains no grains and seems to have wonderful ingredients.

There are a few others I'll buy if they are on sale at the store.
I have found I am sleeping better at night also without having
fragranced sheets.

I am finding as I am getting older I am not able to tolerate scents like I used to. I am buying a lot more unscented items, my husband likes it better too!
