| it's a tough day... but harder for you than for her try and stay calm when you drop her off.. if you are upset she will be too. While she is there for the day go buy onesies (the undershirts that infants wear that snap under their diaper) in premie size and put that on her when she gets home instead of the e-collar to keep her from licking the stiches. The first night i'd sleep on the couch and put her in her crate or wherever she sleeps.. she will probably need you to hold her up to pee and because she will be out of it she might not be able to tell you that she needs to go out.. so take her out at least once at night... make sure she drinks if you can.... don't worry if she doesn't eat right away but just try and give her what you can... apple sauce or whatever she wants it will take a few days for her to come around and you might just need to put her oneise on her at night the better she feels. just love her up |

| Gracie spent the first night post op at the vet, snowed on pain killers. By the time she came home she was feeling OK. She did not have stitches, they used glue. I just had to try to keep her quiet, and avoid stairs (which was a joke). It really was not an issue caring for her after her spay. Like others have said, it will be harder on you than it will be on your baby. We wish her a safe surgery and a speedy recovery!

| thank you very much. I picked sassy up today she missed me so much the second she saw me she went potty on the vets hand. She went in for one thing and ended up with a lot going on she got a microchip in place shots and got some baby teeth pulled. My poor baby. She is happy at home now. Although she is quite shaky and not completely herself. But she is doing good. Thanks for all the support |
