Need Aspirin Dose Info Asap.... Gracie had her shots this morning and after waking from a nap a little while ago she is miserable. She is shaking and she cries when you pick her up. I can't stand to see her in pain. The last time she had her shots the vet told me to give her aspirin, but I can't remember what the dosage was. I think it was 1/4 of a 81mg tablet, but I am not sure. She weighed 1lb 6 oz today. Anyone know how much I should give?????

That is what I gave Hannah when she was a pup, but my vet said that if it isn't an allergic reactionshe wouldn't need benadryl....if she is in pain she will need baby aspirin. The baby aspirin really helped last time, but I can not remember the dose...I think it was a 1/4 tablet.

The aspirin is a miracle cure. She is up and running around and her tail is wagging and she is fighting with her borther and sister..... . About 15-20 minutes after I gave her (almost a 1/4 tablet of a baby aspirin 81mg) she got out of her bed and went to the kitchen and ate and then she was just herself again. I am going to bookmark that site Ladymom gave me. I know that some people say not to give aspirin but I think occasionally it is ok, as long as your dog doesn't have any medical problems with bleeding or any stomach problems.

| I don't let my vet give but one shot at a time for those little ones. I was and get the next shot the following wk that way you know its not as much to there system and you know which one gave them troubles. Its an overload for there little tiny systems. So far that has really worked out good for me. I know the vets will give them all togeather but I don't allow it.

Well no swelling that I can feel but I know she is sore because she will yelp when I pick her up a certain way. Hannah did the same thing when she was a pup and it only lasts the 1 day, but I still hate to see them in pain... . Yes she only got one shot but there were a few different kinds in it. She is doing much better....
