| Gypsy Has CT! I've just got back from taking Gypsy to the vets and it seems that she has CT. The vet isn't overly concerned at the minute because I can control her breathing when she does it and the vet said that the way I've been doing it is right and that if that's working for her then I should carry it on without medication. She only does it when I get back after leaving her for a few hours or when people come over and she gets too excited... so hopefully we'll be able to get away with not relying on medication for a while untill it gets worse. Poor little Gypsy!

| It's a collapsed trachea, it seems to be common in small dogs. I know there are alot of members on here who have experience with it so I'm positive about it. I'm just glad right now that we don't have to use meds for it.

| oh my goodness . . . poor Gypsy. Is this genetic? I don't know much about it other than I know our babies should be wearing a harness instead of a leash to avoid damaging the trachea, so what other possible reasons one can get this? It must be pretty mild since she is not required to take meds |

| Steriods if it gets worse and operation if too bad but seeing as I can controller her when she does it and calm her down he doesn't want to go down either route then this one isn't an option.

| I'm so sorry for Gypsy but I think it is very common. Teddi probably has this slightly because she does this coughing/sneezing thing every once in a while but the vet said it is very common and nothing needs to be done unless she it seems to bother her and it only happens a few times a week. I'm sure Gypsy will be just fine. The steroids aren't good for dogs (or people) so hopefully it won't come to that!!! Can't wait to see the baby! Come on baby!!!
