| Bella's leg is broke My poor little girl looks so uncomfortable and sad. My son did something to her today, we aren't really sure what but she was in her ex pen and he wasn't. She cryed and was very obviously hurt when we seen her at that point holding her right front paw up in the air. I brought her into the livingroom on the carpet and she wouldn't put any weight on it. When she did try once she fell right on the floor. We went to the vet and it is broken, a clean fracture thankfully but still awful for her to have to deal with. I feel so guilty and wish that I had somehow prevented this from happening. I really wonder at this point whether i'm a responsible enough person to own such a fragile little gal. The vet was able to splint it and is hopeful that it will heal up nicely as long as we keep her from jumping and getting to rambunctious. We go back in 2 weeks and she will have to wear a splint for 6 to 8 weeks. If this doesn't heal properly she will need surgery. OMG.. I'm just in tears for my poor baby. She can't even get around with this splint on, she looks so horribly sad.

| I hope Bella heals quickly. There are lots of strong opinions about it not being a good idea to have a yorkie if you have children in the house. Hope she's alright

| awwwww poor baby!! Kiss Kiss! I dropped a dog (weimaraner) once getting out of my truck and she hit her leg. She yapped so loud. She tried to get up but, fell back down. I ran her inside and put her on the table to look to see if I could see a bone sticking out. I laid her on the floor and got all the grocers in, got them put up and next thing I know she was running around...but that leg was sore for a few more days. It happens! |
