OMGOSH Prayers for Mickey plaese
 

We're headed to the Emergence vet. Mickeys stones are back and hes in a lot of pain. They said to bring him in for emergence surgery. Please pray for him.

Oh no:( I'm so sorry.

He started licking his self alot last night. and then today act like he was hurting I kept watching him and noticed he was staraining and dribbling pee, I knew it was the Crystals/stones again but this time it hit him fast. So The vet was out on call and we had to wait 2 hours on him. they stuck a tube in him knocking back3 large stones into his bladder. They dont want to do the stone surgery again on him so soon. They sent him home for tonight with pain pills and antibiotics. I gave him his pain meds but not the other. I think its has to be mixed with water first and they never told me, I called back but the office is now closed. They are only open tomorrow from 12:00- 12:30 and again from 5:00-5:30
They want him to have surgery tomorrow, how are they going to do this and what leave him there with out any one. Im so torn on what to do. The surgery is to turn him from a boy into a girl getting rid of all his boy parts and just making a hole. I cant aford the surgery . If I dont have it done, They said he could die. We are having some other family problems on top of all this and I feel like Im being pulled in so many ways. I will update when I can. Please pray for a miracle for Mickey that some how his. stones will desolve.

Sorry all My post prob sounds about crazy, i was in a hurry and too much on my mind.
Mickey is peeing ok now That they pushed the stones back into his bladder. But if they move and block him again they will have to do the surgery, He said give it untill tomorrow and hope that the UD food desolves the stones, But hes been on the UD food and has ate it sense his last surguy, so If it was gonna work why hadnt it been working all along. He said that sense they came back so fast 6 months that he hates to do the bladder surgury again. Its too hard on them when their so small. He said he hates to tell me but the best thing is to remove his male parts and put a hole so that he wont have to keep going through this over and over. He has been eating the UD so good, I was shocked that the stones came back so soon, Makes me wonder if they even got them all the first time. If they do dissolve then he wont have the surgury until it happens again. Last time this happened they washed the stones back three different times, but they always worked their way back and all it did was prolong his pain. they ended it with surgury.

Mickey is sleeping on the couch with Hubby right now, he has been peeing on his pad a lot, also is eating the dry and the can UD, he ate more of it then I have seen him eat at one time. Im praying that with his tummy being so full of the ud tonight that it does dissolve them. but like I said hes been eating it every day for 6 months so you think they wouldnt even be there. Mickey knew he needed to go to the vet, Hubby got the small cage and he went right in. after he woke up from having the wash done he kissed me. and Larry sit in the car and cried. then when he saw me coming out with Mickey he held him and kissed him for a few before we started the trip back.

Oh no Debbie! It breaks my heart to hear the Mickey has stones again. Sending big hugs to you! I will pray that his stones dissolve and never come back. I feel so bad for you. We send little Mickey get well wishes! Patti mentioned the water...wouldn't it be great if it was something so simple as that? I'll be praying and thinking of you!

i'm sorry his stones came back. The antibiotics, is it clavamox? that's one of the most common meds that you have to mix with water. if so, you need to mix 14 mls of water with the powder and shake it up. there is also a picture of the bottle with a line on it on the side of the box to help show how much water goes in it. If its amoxi, i believe its 12 mls that go into it, but i could be wrong. we usually don't use that anymore. It should say on the box, unless that's where they put the label over.

the surgery that needs to be done, doesn't exactly remove any parts. he'll still have all his boy parts but a new route will be made so that he doesn't pee out of his penis anymore. the new hole is made kind in between his legs. we've had a yorkie come in recently to have this surgery and he is doing great now. occasionally dogs that have had this surgery will still block but not usually. for this surgery i would have a specialist do it and not the regular vet.

I mentioned the bottle water to the vet yesterday. He said yes it does help But he will prob still get them.

Yes that is the antibiotic tahts hes on. I called its liquid so they had already mixed it for us.
Im now wondering why he said remove his male parts and turn him into a girl if his male parts dont need removed. Thanks for telling me this. and as for a specialist I cant aford one, heck I cant even aford the reg surgury.I know It makes me a bad mom, and I feel so bad about it.

Mickey's stones last time was calcium oxalateand Ive read and heard theat his UD food cant dissolve them. but his vet says they can, if so then why did he get the stones again? hes been eating the UD food for 6 months.The only way to get rid of the stones I heard is to have them surg removed.

Mickeys acting pretty normal, eating, drinking playing a little.
I had a rough night with Mickey, Makenzie , Minnie and my eye. ill tell you all about my eye in a minute.
I just talked to the vet he said its up to me on what to do next if he gets blocked again....We can do the cathider sp? again , we can do surgury to remove the stones again, or we can do the surgury to leaving the hole.
Theres another member a ady on YT that her dog had this done after having the stone surgury three times. I would really like to talk to her ASAP , But I cant remember her name.

The cathidar only gives him a instant relief, keeping his bladder from busting. He had this done three times last time. The surgury to remover the stones is so hard on them, and then theres a chance of them coming back again. The theres the surgury to make the hole. I really hate to do this to my baby boy, But I dont want to see him having to go through this surgury again and again.
and what im hoping for is a MIRACLE I believe in prayer and I have been praying, I know theres no way those stones can desolve on their own with just the UD food, if that was the case, He wouldnt even have them now because hes been on that food for 6 months. So if it happens its because God answered my our prayers and gave us a miracle.

Please God hear us pray, heal my little Mickey of these stones and keep him from having to have this surgury again, make him well. amen.

he probably said that because basically he is turning him into a "girl". he's not going to be using his boy parts anymore. the penis will be there for 'decoration' now. i don't think they take anything out, but i could be wrong. I think they just reroute the plumbing. The doctors i work for do this surgery all the time.

Your not a bad mom, you've done so much for him already. ask if you can try a different prescription diet. There is a royal canin one called SO that might be the same as the U/D. I'm not to sure. Also ask about home remedies as well (canberries/apple cider vinegar/etc). Maybe you can call up that nutrionalist that Wylie's Mom spoke with. maybe there is a home diet you can prepare that would be good for stones.

if you do decide for surgery i would just have the "hole" surgery done. removing the stones again isn't going to be enough. they will probably come back again unfortunately.

I am sincerely sorry to hear this about Mickey, my thoughts and prayers will be with you both. I agree, try the bottled water, it's worth a try. But you'll know in your heart what the right thing to do is, for Mickey and you. Just know that you'll have my support throughout this ordeal, again I am terribly heart broken and sad that mickey is not doing well. Hugs...
