So glad to hear that everything worked out ok. I know how scary that can be I had 2 cats that I had taken in for vaccines. One was back at the vet 15 min later due to a reaction & the other went back around 11pm that same evening. The 1st one almost died, the other one wasn't near as severe. After that, when they went in for vaccines they would get the antihistime shot about 15 min prior to getting the vaccines. Desiree

| Glad things are alright with that baby! They can sure scare us but only because we love them so very much!

It is recommended that toy breeds DO NOT get multiple shots. You may have to make extra trips to the vet, but can avoid maybe a reaction like you are talking about.

Thank you she is doing really good now I'm so happy she is better my vet gave me the scoop on how much benadryl to give her next time. also he will schedule her shot appts. for morning so if this happens again at least they will be open. also will give the shots one by one instead all at once. which I think is better since she is so tiny.

I am new to here and also a newbie to the Yorkie breed and I am learning so much from all of you by reading the forums. Good luck with her, sounds like quite a scare. My baby Rowdy is sick and I know how you feel, it breaks your heart to see them sick. I am taking mine to another vet tommorrow mine says that he is not having a reaction to the shots but he has been sick every since he got them, it was his first round of shots and I am treffied but with all the advice I have from here and the past forums I feel that I can cope. Loving a Yorkie is where I want to be. Bye for now... Bev

I am sooooo thankful that she is fine now! My Mom's Yorkie had terrible hives once and it ended up being from Febreeze. It was an allergic reaction. VERY scarey! I am so glad she is doing well and able to be home and on your lap!

HMM..That is weird that they gave the rabies shot with the other shots on the same day. The vet refused to give Princess any other shot within a week after she got her rabies. I am glad everything is fine now

I'm new and so sorry to hear your baby girl had a reaction. My Vet insisted on splitting the shots in half; half one week and half the next. It made for a lot of trips back and forth but, they are so tiny & fragile. I just thought I would tell you since no one mentioned 1/2 & 1/2 of each vacination over a two week period. I wish you and your baby well. chipperdancing
