| sick puppy my neibor raises bichons. she came home and found one of her pups lethargic and shaking. Very hard belly and poo stuck to rump. she called vet, he said rub belly and give karo syrup but he may not be able to do much more for him. he is 5 weeks pld. any suggestions for constipation or anything else we should be doing to help this little guy? He is not shaking as bad now that he has had Karo but his belly is still real hard. Thanks! |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | try to stimulate his bottom with a warm cotton ball to make him go potty. I have no idea, hopefully someone comes along and knows more. Hope he gets better, poor baby. |

| Have you tried give the puppy a warm butt bath. My little man had that problem when we started him on solid food. He seemed to struggle with pooing like he was constipated. I did that for a couple days and he loved it. Good luck and I hope the little guy feels better.

| I hope someone comes on that knows for sure, but I think you can give them pumpkin. Not sure if it's for constipation or the runs.

| When they are that small I am not sure if you can give them pumpkin. How old are they? Have you called a vet and asked them about giving an enema? I know that they told me I might have to do that with my little Yoda when he would have a hard time, but he passed before that. I would just call a vet and talk to them again. Even if you have to call another one.

| Yes, has the vet suggested to bring the pup in for an enema?? I'm not familiar with such young puppies, but I would call and find out if that's a possibility.

| constipated sometimes if they eat too much they can get backed up and that can make them really sick even kill them.I would give a little olive oil let him lap it up and a little karo syrup if his blood le vel is low. hope the little guy fells better soon and hope this helps.
