| Riley got into the trash! I was in the other room and Riley got into the trash. He ate through the trash bag and got to the plastic wrapper that raw steak comes in. I am worries about e-coli and him getting really sick. He is acting fine right now. Is there anything I should do or look out for? Please help! |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | many of us here feed raw food so the if all your worried about is him ingesting the juices left on the plastic you don't have to be too concerned. Unless it was sitting out for a really long time or unless he actually ate the plastic or something else. i'd be more concerned about him eating something he shouldn't have and getting a foreign body.

| e-coli would cause a urinary tract infection.....so if he is peeing with out being able to control it he would need antibiotics. I guess if he is not showing any signs of being sick then he is prob ok. tina

| I would not be as worried about the steak juice as the plastic he probably ate. If you think he ate plastic you may want to run that by your vet.

| I Don't know...we feed these babies the best food money can buy and they still have to go through the trash! I'm pretty sure your baby will be fine though, might be an idea to have a secure trash can with a lid, if they can get in it they will! I can remember the MIL's collie getting into the rubbish bin in my kitchen that had the turkey carcass in it from the christmas dinner...she had spread the whole lot over the entire room and carpet!
