| I gotta take Chloe to the vet- has strange rash Chloe has a strange rash on her tummy that I actually thought was dirt particles or something like that. I didnt realize it was a rash until I took her to the groomer and she informed me it was actually a common rash but it would need antibiotics from the vet to go away. Has anyone else ever had anythign like this? The rash is on her tummy near her privates.

| Spike had something that sounds like that. His vet said it was a type of staph infection. Not the awful life threatening one but I guess it was a type. He said they can pick it up anywhere. Gave us some antibiotics and Spike was good as new. Hugs to Chloe- the vet is never fun.

| My last maltese would get skin infections like that if even one flea got on her. She was terribly allergic. I was told that if they are allergic to something and they scratch it can cause an infection. |

| Lacy had something like that. It was all over her lower belly, sides of her legs and around her vulva. Looked like dirt but wouldn't wash off. It got kindof scabby around her vulva once but then got better and just looked like dirt again. The vet told me what it was called but I cant remember - basically said it was like clogged pores. She gave me a medicated shampoo to use on the skin. you let it sit on there for 10 minutes. It's been a month (used it 4-5 times) and it's all gone now. I'm sitting on the couch with Lacy asleep on my legs so I can't get up and go see what the name of the shampoo is right now. But if you want to know, just ask

| I just got back to the vet and good news, she is fine! Its just basically clogged pores and I got medicated shampoo that should clear it up. So it looks like my little girl who is about 19 in doggie years (about 2 years and 9 months human years) is going through those teen acne years, lol. Just kidding! I couldnt help but laugh when I though of it that way though. I also decided to get chloe microchipped today while at the vet which she did so good and didnt even cry which I thought she would becuase the needle looked so big. My baby was such a good girl today, Im so proud of her

| Can someone who's used the medicated shampoo post the name of the product? Demi would be most appreciative. (And so would I!) |

| The shampoo I was given to clean out the pores is called SulfOxydex by IVX. You have to get it at a vet's office

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I think Teddy and London have it too. I've been wondering what it is and was even going to post a thread but then read this one and it sounds like the descriptions you guys gave. It looks like dirt but it doesn't wash off and it's on their lower tummies, near their privates. I asked the vet and she didn't know So i guess it is clogged up pores, does anyone have any pics of what it looks like to be sure? They just appeared out of nowhere!
