Coughing

When we go outside to potty Cozmo starts coughing. He may not do this at first, but after about 3 min being out there he will then he will stop. Then when he goes potty and gets his treat then he starts all over. I don't understand what or why this is happening. He has surgery next week to get fixed do I need to call the vet and tell him about it. I only started noticing this since the weather has gotten colder. Tonight it is suppose to get 23 out. So this really worries me about taking him out in the morning.

I hope somebody can tell what they think this is.

Do you think he could have some allergies? Our older dog has plenty of allergies and sometimes they manifest in coughing fits. Fall is always good for allergies.

I don't have a clue. There was nothing on any paper work from his old Vet. I just know that I never noticed it until it got cold out. I fill so helpless when he does this. I will pick him up and tell him it is ok. But that doesn't seem to help.

Poor baby I think is a good idea that you let the vet know about it, try to keep Cozmo warm with a coat or something, sorry can't be more help for you
