| ![]() I am a new member and new yorkie mom with a puppy that I got from a puppy store (unfortunately I didn't know about puppy mills until after I fell in love with and purchased my 9 week old)...when I purchased the puppy they said they would call in a few days and check up on him...which they did and kept asking me if he was coughing, at which point he wasn't...and then within days it started and the poor thing hacked continuously. I took him to the vet who said he had kennel cough and put him on meds. The continuous coughing stopped. Now its 6 weeks later and when he wakes up at night he coughs a dry hacking cough...is it possible it is still kennel cough? The vet said I should try robbotussin. He doesnt cough during the day. |

Towards the end they mostly coughed at night and first thing in the morning. The main thing to watch for is that it doesn't develop into pneumonia. If your baby starts getting worse get him to the vet. Hope your little one gets better soon

| ![]() Welcome to YT!! ![]() I haven't had any personal experience, but I have heard that it's hard to completely get over or rid of. Hopefully, you'll get some more replies from experienced YT'ers. Best of luck!!
