| Well, we just recently found out that Miko and Emma can both swim very well, and they actually love it!! They're fast swimmers too I'm still paranoid, but at least I know that they CAN swim if they have to and they enjoy it. They don't like pools though, and they don't care for baths. I mean, they don't dislike baths, but they don't love baths either. Haha!

| Snooki is not a swimmer Snooki dislikes the water. When we went camping we took him down to the dock and laughed at how his feet move when we held him above the water. When we placed him in the water, he quickly swam out. I think he jumped in only once on his own, but never again. He always cowers down and hides when we bring the hose remotely close to him outside, but he doesn't mind baths. My sister claims he's lied down and even yawned when she was washing him!

| Higgins LOVES to swim! Higgins just went swimming in the Gulf (salt water) this week and had a ball! He was collecting oyster shells that we threw in the water for him. He taught himself to "blow out" air through his nose when he ducked his head under to retrieve the shells. Then he carefully brought them up the beach and stacked them under my chair. The only thing he didn't like was the cold water rinse off to get the salt out of his coat, but he loved the cuddle afterwards. BTW, his coat was sooooo soft and shiny after the salt water swim. |

| No my yorkie does not like it. He can swim, but I see fear in his little eyes so I don't put him in. The only thing I will do is dunk him up to his neck when it is really hot outside. My shihpoo loves the water, he has his own little pool and will roll and try to rub his cheeks in it. It's hysterical.

| I took Bella for her first pontoon ride on the 4th of July weekend. She loved that. I got in the water with her and just let her paddle around a bit while I held her (there were too many kids around) She didn't seem to mind it but she didn't like being wet much, I think she got cold.

| There's a spot on our usual walk that I cannot linger at when it is cold otherwise Dougal will run around barking at me til I throw something in the river. During the summer he got very good at swimming right out and fetching a toy or stick that I threw in. He doesn't seem interested in just swimming but he does like fetching. He doesn't like swimming in the ocean though and gets quite upset if I go out in the water. Dixie only paddles at the river but she seems to like the salt water and waves at the beach more. Not that she swims but she frolicks in the water and looks very "drowned rat" afterwards. Bless her! When you hold her over the water she starts swimming it's the cutest thing. I will take her out and make her swim to me just to give her the confidence that she can. But I don't think she's very hydrodynamically designed, she's got a barrel round body -- not fat, just broad chested -- and little thin delicate paws. Dougal has big broad paws and seems to swim better than the Wee.

| Both girls love the water... Both Alyssa and Emmy love to go swimming in the pool. Usually they will get on the float and float but before long they are both in the water swimming. I am always right there with them in case they get tired or get tangled up in the float line, etc. When we go to the beach at the ocean they both love to chase the waves in and out. They end up looking like drowned rats. Alyssa loves to dig up shells in the sand and bring to me. Emmy loves to run freely in the wind with it blowing her hair. Both of my girls are little "beach bums."

| Hee, do any of your Yorkies go crazy when they're wet? I guess Snooki dislikes being wet because after a bath he runs around the house like wild wiping off on the carpet! It's so funny to chase him around! He sometimes barks and howls when he does this too! By the way, Buzz4484, it's off topic, but in the pictures you posted (so cute) does one of your yorkie's ears stay down? Snooki's left ear stood exactly on his 6 month bday, but to this day his right ear stays folded down! I was wondering if your yorkie has the same "trademark"!

| Swimmer Freyja had the chance to learn to swim down at the lake this summer. We taught her very gently by placing her in the water and standing right nearby. At first she splashed and thrashed but we held her and she learned to paddle. She actually walked in the water after me when I left her on the beach. So I guess she can swim if she had to. | Aurora hates baths but she tries to get in the tub with me. I have to watch her because if I am not watching, she will throw her toys in my tub. I let her get in once and all she wanted to do was climb up on my chest and belly. We were at my mom's and penelope had a small pool. Penelope didn't like her pool so my neice and nephew used it for those grow a pet things. Aurora tried to hop in there with the grow a pets, but the water was dirty and didn't know if the grow a pets would be good for her if she chewed on them, so she was not allowed in. I hope that its clean this weekend so she can try swimming.
