| My life has definitely changed since getting my babies, but in a good way. I have actually been losing weight by running around and playing with them. They keep me really busy.

| Oh, yeah, it's changed my life. Before Sadie, I was only responsible for myself. I didn't have to be home at any certain time, and could do pretty much whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. But now I have to come directly home after work, and then feel guilty leaving her again, so I never do anything during the week!

| i got to tell ya... these guys has changed our lives in so many ways... we don't go out to eat much any more because there are too many to keep in the vehicle while we eat... and I don't want any one to steal them or it is too hot out to leave them in the car. or I dont' want them to be left at home for that length of time. we have also bought a 'dog house' that is a 31 ft airstream just for traveling because of the yorkies. and yes i have gained 40 lbs since I have gotten my first yorkie. (more due to aging i do believe).

| I'm not sure what effect it had on my weight...but now instead of just going for the morning workout, I have to come home and walk them. So I get exercise twice in a day! We had to buy a house...though it was probably time for that anyway. But we made sure that it had a yard that was already fenced, and wood floors so we could more easily clean up messes. In the house we had to make sure there was a place to store dog stuff-so the dogs have their own "bathroom" for all their food, treats, clothes, grooming supplies, etc. We had to have a place for them to stay during the day that's their own, so we have a HUGE master bedroom with an 8x10 foot section that's their own, complete with xpen, contemporary carpet, and a big "gazing" window. I now get up at 5 because they're hungry then, when I'd rather doze until 6:30 or 7

| Before we got Snickers it had been about 8 years since we had a yorkie in our lives. My son was a baby and I wanted to wait until he was older. Since we've gotten Snickers, and then Baxter, our lives are pretty much ruled by them. We don't travel as much as we used to, because we won't leave them. I used to do kickboxing 5X a week and was in great shape. Since the yorkies, I've stopped because I felt guilty for the time I spent at the gym. Now I won't even go on a treadmill because it takes time away from them! So yeah, they rule our lives and I'm not as fit as I used to be. But that's ok because I have two little angels that give me more joy than traveling or exercising. My son is going off to college this summer, and now I have two babies that will always need me. My yorkies give me pure happiness, what else in life could do that?

| Wouldnt yorkies make you lose weight cuz you're constantly playing with lil bundles of energy? Princess has definitely made me change my lifestyle... but not in the weight issue but I cant travel.. I havent traveled since I got her because I get too scared to let someone else watch her for more than a day.. Oh well! |

Around the house, I can't keep up with them, so I usually just throw toys. They definitely give me some exercise, just not enough.

| Wow! I love this question Yes, my Yorkies (and my other 2 furbutts) rule my life!!! (And I do not mind!!) I'm a marathon runner and when I had just the 2 older furbutts, I could schuedule things around my running and training (I'm kinda addicted to running), because they'd been with me for 10+ years and were accustomed. But since AprilLove a year and 1/4 ago, and Nappy 5 months ago, chose me, I schedule most everything in my life around the furbutts!!!! I still run, and am started training for another marathon, but I haven't done that in 2 years. I am doing it way differently now, and I use most of my off days from work to get that in, and then have more time with them I glad I am not alone in this feeling, I think about every way I can cut down on my work time, away time, so I can be with these little hairy joyballs!! My weekdays after work, are pretty much furball and play time!!! I even hold off going to the grocery store for me, so I can be with them And yes, to the original post, I have gained a few since AprilLove first came into my life but, that gives her more of me to love!!!!lol

LOL....I agree...I have to walk Max first while it's cool enough in the morning and then walk myself (and by then, I get to walk in the heat )....I've got my own home gym b/c I'm also a personal trainer, but have you ever tried riding a bike with a yorkie on your lap who wants his chin over your arm, or jumping up constantly b/c he can SEE that you're just SITTING there waiting for him to sit on your lap, LOL

| Have my Yorkies changed my life..... let me count the ways... Yep, I don't stay out for more than 4 hours usually. I still go to movies and stuff but am always conscious of the time factor. I love coming home to 4 little faces that are so excited to see me. (ok, one of them is a Maltese) I have a lot more debt now... Sometimes I sit longer than I want to on the couch cause one or two of them are sleeping on/near me and they look so cute I don't want to wake them up. Ummm.. the living room carpet is going to be a thing of the past before too much longer... Pergo here we come. People used to be able to come in the living room and sit down with ease, now everyone has to wade through toys and potty pads and then move all the dog blankies and beds to fit on the couches. I think that's enough for now. Oh, one more thing... lots of people think I'm a little batty with my furbabies... oh wait, that isn't a new thing. |
