a lions coat is ... short coat thru the body big hair around the head leg hairs are long if i am wrong, i am sure someone will correct me but i think this is correct. i might to my boy in a lion's cut when he gets older. i guess it would be like a poodles cut where the hair around the head is big....like i said above

| Pixie's shaved but only for her surgeries. Bogey's growing out his puppy cut... But it's not quite a "full coat" yet.

| Artie has a full coat with a topnot, Abigail has a naturally shorter coat since her hair is not as thick and long as his and her hair over her eyes is cut like bangs. Since Tiffany Aloha is still a puppy @ 9 months I guess that's naturally a puppy cut since it has'nt grown out yet? Her bangs are trimmed too, over her eyes. My 2 females are more "Butch" than my male, they are more active and more Terrier.......like hunting dogs. Where as Artie is more of a Ladies Man. I would like my 2 girls to be in topnots too, but their hair is too silky and fine in texture. I also braid Artie's tail so I dont' have to follow him around with babywipes when he goes pooh. I do all their "Grooming" to save me money, plus I got tired of the Groomer's making too many mistakes and having to wait to grow their hair back! |

| Mine just both got haircuts. Carley needed to be evened up after her car accident, so i just went short and we are starting over Cooper, I was holding out, I love his hair longer, but we are trying to get used to the Texas heat versus Washington weather, and I just didn't think I was being fair to him. Plus these danged old stickers are easier to comb out of shorter hair. We will keep the shorter do's during summer, and maybe grow back out this fall and winter. Here is a before and after of Coop. He needs a bath and brush in both, but you get the general idea

| Two puppy cuts with bangs, one puppy cut with a top knot. Gracie was in a long coat until yesterday though. I'm really getting lazy!

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...eferrerid=4890 This is Buddy's new look for the summer. I may even keep it for the winter. I love it and I know he feels very comfortable. |

| Cozy's hair is free to do what it wants. If she gets a knot in it I cut it out. I love her personality not how she looks. |

| Rocky is small 5 lb' and his hair was growing like mad, so I decided to try something different on him. I cut the top in a flat top, rounded out the sides and cleaned up his ears, then drew the beard forward to make his jaw look fuller but snipped it horizontally straight to balance the flattop. (his hair on top is still cream/ash colored. I trimmed his body down to about 1-1/2 and left his legs long and full like the dutch boy bell bottoms. With the trim down on the inside rear and tummy for neatness he looks so great. I swear, you can hear someone singing "Over Hill over Dale" like he was in a 40' movie about WWII or something. My freind says he looks like the littel dutch boy in the old Hush Puppy shoe ads. So that is what I'm calling the cut. The Hush Puppy. He just got back from his alteration and baaby tooth pull so He is in no shpae for pictures but I'll post them in a few weeks when he can have a bath.
