Layla HATES walks (i'm not sure she is a dog :p) so instead every day we go in the backyard and play fetch!! she'd do that until she passed out from exhaustion!! about once a week i'll attempt a walk.. i have to carry her the first half.. after that she boots it all the way home.. lol... my mom bought me a front/back carrier because our family usally walks after supper this way layla can come but just enjoy the ride :) |
Dezi goes out about 3 times a day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) Once in the morning before I go to work and two times in the evening. On Tuesdays and Thursdays she goes to day camp. She gets home so tired, she is not interested in walking. |
I'm trying to teach mine how to walk on a leash. It's going to be harder I think than it was with my lab. |

I try to take Mollie & Wyatt at least every other day. Depending on the weather. But I'm not a real stickler unfortunately. If it weren't for our fencened in back yard I would most definitely stick to a routine. I still need to take them more because they absolutely love it. After their walk they get to play in the dog park. |
Luna normally gets way to excited on walks and chokes herself, she even has a step in harness that doesnt go around the throat. So now we just play in the backyard for about 20 minutes each day. Plus we have tons of stairs throught the house that she is constantly running up and down. |
Let me explain I live in Illinois, so it really depends on the weather...an excuse, maybe. But really Winston walks pretty well on leash(when there's a sidewalk). And weather permitting, and my schedule we walk often, maybe not every day but most days. Sometimes the snow is so deep, I can't even get him out the door...and that's serious business, cuz he does all his business outside!!! We live in an apartment, so at least once every day. It just depends on how far Sadie feels like she's gotta walk before she can find the "right spot" to go. :D Usually she goes right away in the mornings & then we walk for a while when I get home from work. On weekends, we take a couple of walks a day. |

I walk Buddy 4xdaily and on weekends 5xdaily. He is trained to go outdoors only so this is a must. Maybe because he's a bigger boy he just loves his walks and so do I. |
i used to walk him in the morning but now that the grass is growing the ground is wet on my whole block because of the sprinklers and he's gonna stink from getting wet. So i walk him only once when i get home aroun 6pm |
I walk my dogs every day for an hour. On the weekends, we go to the park and spend a lot of time outdoors. |
I (or my daughter) walk my dogs usually 5 days a week. Also we take them to our farm 2-3 days a week and they will run and run and run until their tongues are hanging to the ground. |

My favorite thing about Jasper 1 Attachment(s) Hello all! I walk our dog Jasper everyday and sometimes twice a day! As soon as I shower and go to put on my shoes he starts getting excited. When I get his lead off the hook by the door he does circles and then jumps up on the bed so I can but his harness on. He is so good on a lead and we walked even when the snow was knee deep here in Ohio. He would follow me and jump from each of my footprints. I love that he likes to go for walks at our local park. Since I have owned him he has helped me lose 44 pounds! Hope you like the attached photos of one of our walks. He's my little walking buddy for sure. :0) Take care all, Shirley |

we have a fenced back yard on about 1/2 acre. i am a stay at home mom so the babies are always in the backyard playing when the weather is good |
I take Conner for a walk every day (either before or after dinner). My sister (his day care) also takes him for walks three days a week. On weekends I sometimes take him for 2. He absolutely loves it!!! My sister also takes him to the beach to walk. I bought him a stroller when he was a baby because I thought my husband and I could go on walks and put him in the stroller. But he won't hear of it!!! He only uses the stroller when we go to outdoor malls or outdoor restaurants. |
Zoe can walk for hours AND she goes running with me on weekends for about a mile. |
I take the furkids out to the park every day. I get my exercise, and they do too. :) |
I walk all three dogs as many days of the week as possible. (They make me do it!!) If it's nice when I get home from work - one of them stands on the landing and puts her nose on the leashes. ....I can take a hint. It's fine when we're all heading in the same direction, but they can get me all tangled up when they see something that needs an immediate investigation!:yelrotflm |
We live in the country and for my birthday last year I asked for a huge fenced in area for my babies! :p So they get all their exercise running in our yard. And they run.....lots! |
How often do you walk your yorkie? Well, Monday-Sunday in the morning, and in the afternoon when I get home from work, and then we just go in the backyard right before night-night. |
everyday except if it raining, she wont go out.. otherwise at least 2 times a day.. once before i go to work, once when i get home. weekends more than that. now that summer is coming, she will get the run of the beaches everynight |
I voted other please explain below... we dont go for walks.. i have 2 xpens hooked together in the yard till we get a fence put up...they are in there every day " when it isnt raining" and they play hard in there..i take them out 1 by 1 on a leash and walk/run around the yard with them lol i bet thats a site, but they enjoy it, till i had enough then its back in the xpens while we do our thing out there. we are usually out there alot when i dont have errands to do. the kids love it in the yard and so do the furbabies :) they get plenty of excersise, and so do we lol |
Twice a day on weekdays and lots on weekends. We live in South florida so the weather is nice all the time, except for the rainy afternoons. All three of my babies love to go on walks. They go crazy when they see me get the leashes:p |

I don't take Kitty and Alexis for scheduled walks. We walk more in the spring/summer/and fall than in the winter when we never go. They get loads of exercise around the house with the other dogs and kids to run with them. We also throw the tennis ball in the back yard every day for a good hour. (sometimes more.) The kids also throw the tiny tennis balls in the house several times a day (even though we aren't suppose to throw balls in the house). |
