To be very honest and upfront here...NO not all yorkies are cute. I have really seen some ugly ones, but have also seen some real cutie pies also.
I am very honest with people and if someone ever asked me what I thought I would tell them. That's just me.

I agree beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.. I also don't think its nice to insult anyone's human babies or furbabies. I was brought up to believe if you don't have anything nice to say don"t say it at all !!!!

I have never seen a Yorkie that was not cute.

I would say something along the lines of, "Wow, that is a nice pet quality yorkie." That is if I was asked to comment on a yorkie that I could tell was not well breed or very cute. I am not going to be dishonest while not being rude.

When Jasper was really sick and we knew he was near his end, we decided we would start looking for a puppy. We were out riding the motorcycle in the mountains one day, and saw a sign on someone's lawn that said "Yorkies for sale", so we stopped. The lady brought out the cutest little puppy, and I just loved it! She was boasting about that her pups are all home raised and she did not believe in kenneling and all this happy hoo haw. So I asked if I could see the mom...

The lady goes out back, calls a dog's name, and in runs this GENETIC FREAK OF NATURE that all of you on here would have been hard pressed to call a Yorkie!! Her eyes were completely on either side of her snout, her legs were really long, her ears huge, and she must have weighed 20 pounds!!! OMG!!

Needless to say, we told the woman we'd think about it, left, and never looked back!!!!

My son graduated from college with a degree in English/Journalism. He's the writer in the family, but he used to send all his papers to me to look at before turning them in, lol! n It was a great compliment to me, and really nice of you to comment!

LOL this is a funny thread i would have to say it's true not all yorkies are cute and i hate to say it but i have seen some really awful looking ones and in all fairness every breed id the same also with babies lol please don't hate me i'm just tying to be honest LOL
