Holiday Card Exchange
 
Hello YT'ers. It's nearing that time of the year again, I haven't forgotten! :)

I will need a quick survey of votes to gauge interest/participation. 2014 will mark our 9th annual Holiday Card Exchange. If we can get at least 25 members, I will be more than happy to run it again this year. With that said, sign ups will be posted in the first week of November. This poll will also serve as a discussion thread if there are any questions. Seasoned members, feel free to answer any questions from our newcomers, if I have not yet done so myself.

Thanks to everybody who participated last year, we couldn't have done it without you! :reindeer2:

I still have all my cards hanging up in my living room from last year! I never took them down. haha I am in!! I could not consider it the holidays without seeing everyone's babies and Christmas outfits!!!

Yes Teri, I can use some holiday cheer when we rally up members during signups. This is one of my favorite parts of YT and I'm happy to say it's my 3rd year running.

New members to YT are more than welcome to join the fun and I will also be taking special requests. Here's an additional link to last year's holiday spirit and the love for all yorkies. Thanks Lisa, I hope you'll make another post like it for 2014.

I voted on the fence. I absolutely loved the HCE the past two years, and it always really cheers me up, but this year the holidays seem like they will be pretty dim in our household...just don't know if I am up to it :(

I understand . . .it is going to be a hard holiday without Guildenstern . . I was going to try to get a family photo. . . But not anymore. .

I do think that it will cheer me up to see all my friends and their pups and some of the silliest cards. . . Still the three snowyorkies are my fav

That was kind of you to show that thread. Just love getting all the dog cards and displaying. Too much fun! Also, love seeing how others show off their Yorkie/dog cards. :D

I am a new member. What is the holiday card exchange? Is it all in the name where we are sending each other cards and making friends? If so I would love to be involved.

I am sorry Carmen and I know exactly how you feel. Its gets easer after time but I pain never ever goes away.


Come to think of it, last year your card and one other was returned to me in January and another in February . . It was the oddest thing. I was upset that you didn't get my card and now I know why.

Just to clarify . . I put the wrong address on Carmen's card which is why I never saw a confirmation that it was received. Everyone else had posted thank yous and I know that Carmen would have too if she had ever gotten the darn thing. It was too late to resend it by the time I got in back.


I didn't want Carmen to think that I had excluded her from our HCE list. :(

I will start blogging Q&A's on YT sometime next week. If there are any questions you can ask them here. We need at least 7 more definitive yes's. Signups will be up on the last week of Oct. Tessa & I look forward to our final year participating in the HCE.

Okay, I'm pretty excited! Little Lilah Charm joined our family in February 2013 at twelve weeks old so she is only approaching her second birthday this December - we had our first gift exchange, which was super fun! I'm so excited about the Halloween photo contest and now, I didn't even know about the card exchange but how fun, we will most definitely be participating in that as well! I just so happen to have ordered little yorkie address labels as of last Saturday- great timing! Yay!!!

I have posted info regarding our exchange. To access it click on the blog link below my screen name. If there are any questions, simply comment on the blog or PM me.

I've run into several problems such as wrong e-mails/info, members not receiving their cards, empty envelopes, typos and errors incurred on my part. Please keep in mind that no exchange is perfect and we rely highly on the honor system. With a shorter list most likely there will be less errors made this year. Tessa & I look forward to our final year. It has been a pleasure being part of YT's HCE and we believe it will be a good one! :)
