Science Diet isn't on the list simply because I ran out of spaces, sorry for the mis up. Thank you everyone for answering... |
Hills Perscription Diet T/D for good dental health. Recommended by the vet. That's the only place we can buy it. (by the way, Edie has great teeth--vet said she may never need a dental cleaning if we keep up the good work. Edie is 5 now) |

I feed Caesar Science Diet too!!! My vet says that it's the best food for them |
Stomper used to have Innova, but is now on California Natural Chicken and Rice. Both are very good foods (similar quality to Wellness and Solid Gold). |
I feed all of mine Purina One, (Chicken)They like it, its very easy to get, and it doesn't have a lot of by products, like most of the other pet food found in the supermarkets.. |
I feed Natural Balance. I think they have quality ingredients and Chewy loves it! |
i'm currently feeding him royal canin puppy kibbles but might switch him to something else. i just emailed a bunch of premium dog food makers requesting samples. 4 should be on their way soon. :D |
Lola started out on Eukanuba. But I switched her to Natural Balance Duck & Potato when I thought she had allergies (turned out to be scabies). I'm afraid to switch her to anything else now. As long as she likes it I'll let her have it. She poops 3-4 times a day though. I'll have to give that Chicken Soup some more thought. |
Mine get a combo of Chicken Soup and Nutro Natural Choice Lamb & Rice. |
Wellness We are in the weening process. We are feeding the Science diet L/D (because of Matise's liver shunt he has to be on the low protein diet) but Dr. Moore wants him to be fully switched by January 1, 2006. So I did my research and decided we would be feeding wellness. The ingredients are human grade and there are no animal by products or anything bad. So far it is just a little bit everyday and he likes it. We have different reasons to feed what we do because of Matise's Liver shunt(in case you all don't know he already had surgery) we have to be very careful and cautious. So far so good. I feel confident with the wellness food and really like the ingredients. I like that I feed him something that has great ingredients and is good enough quality that I could eat it if I wanted to. |
Trixie eats Eukanuba puppy food for small breed. Her breeder gave her this and we've never changed it. She seems to be doing well on it. |
Solid Gold, wee bits. They love it! |
I have heard that science diet is not that good of food, some of sd has bha and bht in it which are not good preservatives. The vet gets kick backs from sd unless it has changed, The first few ingredients should not be by-products or corn, that is not good. MY little guy gets royal canin and only poo[ps maybe once or twice a day. |
Well I am so happy to see others with P1! When my Wosie decided on a whim she hated Nutro Max, I had some Purina One in the freezer still. Angel and Jasper were raised on P1 and ate it all of their lives. It was the only food they would eat, and they both did well on it. I fed Wosie a few kibbles, and she went nutzo over it, so I ran to the grocery store and got her P1 puppy. I have felt guilty about it ever since, as no one ever mentions P1 in the food discussions, and I thought I was being a bad momma. But my theory is if you can get your puppy to even EAT, that's half the battle. And if they enjoy their food and thrive on it, you're doing OK. So OK, I am steeling myself for the bad news... What's wrong with Purina One? |
