| Bark or no bark...that is the question! Hi All, Just curious how many of you have yorkies that bark like crazy and others that don't do it at all... Stomper barks anytime someone passes our house, comes to our door or in the evening/early morning just to get a bark out! Crazy little guy. How about your yorkie?

| I voted sometimes because he only barks when he wants to play or when the cat is on the counter.

| Crunchy rarely ever barks! when i tell people this they're pretty surprised ... i was too at first because i always thought yorkies were quite vocal. hes only really done it when he heard something by the door or when he was jealous of another dog i was playing with.

| Trixie never barked and my downstairs neighbor still says he doesn't hear a peep during the day. She recently started barking at dogs that are across the street and people passing; especially at the beginning of the walk when she's not tired yet.

| Barking isn't the word I'd use-----Hallie is a SCREAMER! She yells at me a lot! It's a new thing, when I first got her she was 2 and very quiet but she is finding her voice (as I call it) and boy is it loud! Simon likes to bark for attention, from anyone! THey also bark at the squirrels and chipminks out back of my apartment! I have taken away their window priveleges more than once! |

Maggie barks at things she can't see outside. She knows there is something there, so she barks and scares it away. I accuse her of barking at ghosts poots.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Magic barks at anything she see that is out of place...esp. her own reflection!! She will bark at anything outside or when some one is at the door. Sailor used to never bark but lately she has been following in Magic's footsteps....she loves to bark at birds or squirrels best!

| Reuger hardly ever barks. He barked a couple of days ago when my hair dryer was on the floor. Also, yesterday my daughter was home sick from school and she put some beads in an empty pop bottle so it rattled. He growled, barked, he even figured out how to make a whinny sound to his bark. It was so funny!! Sometimes he barks when he's outside, usually at night. We live on a dead end road so things are usually pretty quiet as far as having anyone outside. He never barks when someone comes in the house. He's got the cutest little bark, unlike our airdale who has a big Woof!!

| I have 2 girls. When they are together, they will bark at any noise from outside. We live in the country so there are never any people around, as well as no cars driving by. When our outside big dogs bark, my girls usually will back them up from the inside. But, when they are seperated, neither one barks very much...just rarely. I take Chewy to work with me, and Sierra stays home with my hubby. So, go figure. When they are together, it's like they are braver, and say to each other...don't worry, I got your back.....lol |
