I'm a veggie and have been for over 15 years. On food packaging in the UK we have symbols that say suitable for vegetarians/vegans so that we know what does and does not contain animal products, I'd like to know what other countries are like with their food packaging with regard to vegans/veggies. Lisa, I've never seen any special symbol on food here. Its nice that they do that in the UK though. that would be very helpful.

I'm a ovo-lacto veggie. I use dairy and eggs. Have been for 13 years. I don't judge meat eaters, but I love animals too much to eat them!

If I had a choice, I would be a veggie. But, in my mind, I don't have a choice, because I am on the Atkins diet, have been since June, lost 25 lbs. painlessly, so I am on it for life. I do eat veggies and have a piece of fruit occasionally, but mostly meat and eggs. It really works, I'm never hungry anymore like I used to be when my main diet was pastas and fruits.

I don't eat much red meat and zi have two children who are vegan but I do eat turkey, chicken and seafood. I would love to be a vegetairian but it is very time concuming to stay healthy.
