My girls are on Blue Buffalo--we change the flavor from time to time. THey like it. I add frozen green beans to their dinner bowl every night. They love them, right out of the freezer! |

This is what I got from the email: "Here is the information you requested. First, the website has the correct information. There is a mis-print on the bag - the whole salmon listed right after the chicken liver should read chicken. Second, we do not use any meat/protein meals in any of our products. Third, the vegetable broth is simply the broth the vegetables listed on the label are cooked in." I've also noticed that their "Wholesome Chicken" formula of kibbles contain "Wild Salmon" where in the Wild Salmon formula, it contains "Chiciken"... So I guess it's essentially the same recipe only with a swap in balance/portion of the two meat sources. :p I figured some might want to know this if their little ones have processed chicken allergies. I notice on some retail websites, the correct ingredients are listed while on others, it's as the bag (mis)stated. I hope the newer prints will display the correct information. |
We just switched to Natural Balance Duck and Potato small bites. They seem to like it but we just switched today. I bought a tiny Turkey 'roll' and a Lamb 'roll' for them to try and they just about took my fingers off trying to get it from my hands. They LOVE that stuff. |
Moose and Mimi are on Natural Balance Fish and Sweet Potato! |
All of mine are on Natures Variaty kibble. My Picky eater Daisy Likes it and that is the the best for me. |
Kibble: Timberwolf Wild and Natural Canned: Evanger and Party Animal |
i am now feeding sammy the honest kitchen preference and raw. he is on this for about 4 months now and he is doing well. even though the vet i am using does not think raw is good, i am sticking with it and finding a new vet asap. all these vets do is push for science diet, iams and eukenuba. thats because they get a cut of what they sell and it was made by a vet. i am saying this because my friend is best friends with a vet and she told her this. plus if you keep them on this horrible food, they get sick and that means more business for them. i did post looking for a new vet in the regional part, but maybe if someone reads this and knows of a vet who believes in raw that is in queens or nassau counties, please let me know. thanks to all ! happy easter |
I feed mine Canidae. It's a nice high quality food and they like it. I got samples of several high quality foods and thenlet them taste test and the decision was theirs -- Canidae won with them all. They did like Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul too but Canidae a little more. They also liked Evangers canned dog food -- I think I have that right -- it was the one with whole pieces of chicken in the can -- bones and all (but the bones had been sort of rubberized through their processing and were safe to eat). |
chester is wee bit guy too ,good stuff |
have you tried the turkey jerkey treats from solid gold |
I decided I had to get something that didn't have to be shipped since I am a terrible procrastinator and talking my mammaw into raw was not an option, so now everyone is on Wellness Core. That was the best I could find in this town. It was either that or Blue Buffalo and my sister's dogs spit out their lifebits so I decided to shoot for Wellness and it is good. Now if they could only keep it in stock more... |
food I make my own food for all of my dogs. It is so easy and then I vacuum seal it and keep it in the freezer and fridge. I actually got my recipe down so now I even sell it on etsy! It is so much easier than you would think! |
Want Recipe would you like to share some recipes or show me where to get them? Thanks Cheryl |
My babies eat Health Extension little bits. It's holistic. I don't know that's what Coco was eating when I got him at 12 weeks and I just kept them all on it. It is supposed to be good for them. I never hear of anyone else that feeds this kind. Anyone?? |
so so sorry I will get together some of my recipes and put them up. There is another thread that has some great recipes on there. I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to respond. I have been swamped with Finals and work. |
I feed Zoe Prey Model Raw.:) |
I've tried several top quality foods and ended up settling on a nearly top quality: Solid Gold Why? Between Ginger's allergies and Bernie's (don't ask) physical reaction to most foods, it's the ONLY one I've found that they both can digest without problem. So it's the one they get. |
I've been feeding Pogo Dr. Harveys, alternating home cooked roast chicken breast, roast turkey breast, and broiled salmon as the protein I add to it. It's been the only thing he'll eat, and I've tried everything. I started him on it when he was 3 months old, and he just turned 6 months. When I got him at 9 weeks he was 1 lb. 3 oz. Now he's 4 lb. 6 oz. |
