| What is a puppymill to you? After Brett's recent thread and the threads in the past, I felt it would be enlightening to find out what most of the membership actually thinks puppymill is. I hope I have given enough options. Please explain in the thread if your definition is different from those available in the poll. |

| This isn't exactly what I was going for as far as choices, but the guidelines wouldn't allow the full descriptions. Sorry. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | hey i chose all of the above. i think that there are too many dogs, they don't always go into the best homes, and there isn't enough time to care for all of them properly, etc. i think all of the above is the best answer for me.

| Puppymill??? This is a meaning different to many. There are a lot of factors that take place. What one considers a puppymill might not to another. All in all, I believe that all members here on this forum want the best life possible for their Yorkie(s) now, their yorkie(s) in the future, and all the Yorkie(s) they do and do not know.

| For me a puppymill is the barn full of dogs and puppies that have been closed last week near Quebec City . Dogs were in cages from top to bottom of the barn . The smell was........................ The local shelter's agent ask me if I would like to be a foster home for 2 of the pups and I said yes . |

| I agreed with Schatzie. Also my view of a puppy mill is like Diego's description. Wow, I feel so bad for those poor pups. Diego, it is great that you will foster 2 of the pups. |

| Sorry for the peoples who may not be able to see this picture . This is an example of what the Animal Protection found . I hate peoples who are crual with animals and will always fight them . Animals deserve better than this . |

| A puppymill breeder to me is any breeder that has over say 10 litters a year who does not do any health, temperment testings... Sticks any two dogs together with no regards to health or the standards of breed. They breed for profit and not for love or the betterment of the breed. |

| I chose all of the above. I think that if you constantly have pups and many dogs, don't care about genes, feed them the cheap stuff or don't care about who or where the pup goes to that you are just in it for the money and considered a miller to me! I hate that.
