On the other hand though really since I'm not breeding or showing its not important that I have papers so really as long as I felt right about the breeder and the pup seemed healthy I'd be fine even without papers. Even if they were registered and I didn't feel good about the breeders I'd move on. I guess its really tough because I do care but at the same time I don't. |
I couldn't care less, i'm not currentley interested in showing or breeding, so it isn't an issue. Charlie's dad is registered, but his mom wasn't. |
I don't really give a dang either. Fred is APRI registered. AKC, CKC, APRI. Whatever! He's still the love of my life! |
Both of my dogs are AKC registered but as a pet owner with no intentions of showing or breeding it really doesn't have that much importance. |
As a breeder , all my Yorkies and their puppies are registered . If peoples ask me for an unregistered dog , I tell them to look somewhere else . |

Our first two yorkies had papers. We just got a male and the breeder said she would not sell them as registered puppies because she wasn't sure which one of her dogs got her female pregnate. This impressed me first of all that she just didn't choose one of her males and register him as the sire. She showed me the two dogs that the father may have been. also in return for not having papers I got my lil guy for half the price of one with papers. I was just so happy to find a puppy it didn't matter and with the money I saved I can have him fixed and not hurt the budget too much. Papers would only be important if you were to breed or show them... I just want to love my dogs....THATS ALL.... |
Papers are of little importance to me. In all the years I have owned pets I can't say I ever loved one with papers more than one without papers. I don't show, I certainly don't breed so my furkids are all spayed and neutered. When I had my human kids they didn't come with any sort of promise to how they would look or turn out so my expectations in regard to my furkids is pretty much the same. |
still confused .... GM all, so if i dont register my baby thats ok... i dont intend on breeding, i just want to make sure if its necessary for ME to register him or not. thanks.  |
