Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Human or canine companionship? My boys are pretty good socially, but I think they genuinely prefer my company to other dogs. How about yours?

| My female Buffy would be very very happy if it was just her and I, she does not play with the boys just fights to block them away from me...lol My boys all play together, but once they stop playing then they want the attention of all the humans in the house.

| I voted for mostly human-Emma would rather be with people, but likes playing with other dogs too, especially when she can bark and chase them around! Milli I would say is about equal when she's being active, but when she's tired, she likes a good snuggle or sometimes she just wants to nap by herself.

| All 3 prefer both Human/Dog Company Luckily all 3 of my Yorkie's like both Human and Dog company, Artie & Abigail are a whopping 10 & 8 lbs. a piece so they are pretty fearless of anyone and anything in general but their daughter Tiffany Aloha is only 4 1/2 lbs. so she is kind of skiddish around children and any quick movements, I don't think she trusts other strangers. When they greet other dogs after the first 5 min. they could careless afterwards. They don't play much with others unless it's another puppy? Artie is the "Entertainer" and acts like he's performing when he's out in Public. I try to take them to busy Shopping Malls & Petsmart where there are alot of People/Dogs so they get a of experiences! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Maya, Roxie and Cali love human companionship, they get along great with each other and would definatley miss the others if suddenly they became an only dog. Pixie would go crazy being an only dog she is very dog oriented, and the pack leader and Mom to the gang.

| Both our lab, Zack as well as Milo----like spending time with other dogs but they would both choose a human over a dog any day. |

| Buddy likes socializing with his friends daily but I think he prefers being with us humans. He get's more attention that way and no pup is jumping on him or sniffing his butt This way he can do the jumping and sniffing. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | unconditional love is a gift they only like me better cuz i feed them and love on them.. i think they need both canine and human love. i asked them, but they wouldnt tell me. cesar milan says dogs need to be with other canines or they are in limbo because they are pack animals.. i personally prefer the unconditional love of my pets over the conditional love of most people..

| Mine do well together, but they seem to prefer humans. My dogs get a LOT of attention, but it never seems to be enough for them. I can't even watch them play together unless I try to watch out of the corner of my eye. If they catch me watching them, they seem to think, "Oh! Oh! Oh! Mom's looking at us! Maybe she wants to give us a rub or pick us up!" Then they run over and start hopping around my chair. My husband and I love the attention THEY give US, but I wish they were a little less like this. They are so adorable when they're playing, but I have to be very sneaky to watch them do it. Once they catch me looking, they stop and I get swarmed |

| Miss London likes everyone and every dog. She generally prefers humans and big dogs over other small dogs. Is that weird? I dunno but she'd happy playing with our big lab and border collie mix.

| Winston wants and is with me about 100 percent of the time. He does like to play with other dogs...and I feel sorry for him with my 2 shih tzus...they hang together and rarely play with him. He does get to play with my neice's yorkie a lot though. Good question Mike! It was interesting to see how others compared also. We seemed to be in the highest percentage group.

| for the most part Layla has very little use for other dogs *simon excluded*. She'll play when she is at day care but i can tell when i pick her up it's like.. mom thank god.. i've just about had enough! i know how she feels. im an only child and always (and still do) felt that way when around lots of other kids. |

| We have doggy play-day twice a month with 8 to 11 other small dogs and the girls just go balistic during the first few minutes, and then things quiet down and all the doggies just want their moms to pick them up until one or more get a second wind and off they go again. It's such fun to watch how they interact. |
