Boys or Girls?
 
Which do you prefer in a yorkie? I'm talking about a GENERAL personality. It could be a preference based off of the babies you already have, or one you want to get in the future.

After you vote, please explain why you chose that answer in a post.

I've been noticing an interesting trend with people lately...and I just want to see if this supports my theory. ;)

Girls... They don't mark my flower beds & statuary or my furniture & I love to buy girly stuff!! My husband prefers them because he thinks they are more snuggly towards him.

I love my boys, but I never had a yorkie girl yet, so I don't know if I count.

I voted boys, but really, I love both. I have one boy, two girls.
I voted boys as my boy is such a mommas boy. Follows me everywhere. Wants my constant attention. Wants to play all the time. Wait, why did I vote boys again? :p
The DOWNSIDE, he marks up my house all the time. I find it more than frustrating.

Girls are so sweet and lovely, WHEN THEY WANT TO BE :p

Both have their good and bad qualities.

Boys!! I love their personalities! Especially Little Man's. He's always into mischief, I don't know what kind of surprise I'll have in the mornings when he wakes me up! But I am pretty sure it is a doozy! LOL!

I've don't have a girl yet! So, I really don't know about their personalities.

Voted girls, but I adore both!! My girls are both very attached to me, they are extremely overprotected of me. They both are outrageous watchdogs... My boy is very easy going, gets along with everyone, except when he is chewing on his bone... My boy is so sweet, he's always kissing and hugging me... You wonder hugging! How? Whenever I lay, be wherever, he'll rush to me and put his chin on my face to the point I suffocate...Its hard to say, but I should vote twice...

girls..because I only have skinboys (no girls) so she is my girl and I can put dresses on her. However, she is a little spitfire and my yorkie boy is very laid back but both are equally affectionate:exclaim:

I've never had a girl so I'm not sure which one. I've never had a problem with Riley marking thank god! He lifts his leg acting like hes going to, but never does. I think I have a girly boy!! He always watches me put on my make up. Sometimes he even pulls it out and plays with it. Maybe hes a girl at heart! HAHA!:p

ZACTLY! What she said. LOL Duncan is SUCH a mama's boy and goes everywhere I do, and pipers learning but shes very mellow. Kinda lives in her own lil world. But I do love to buy her dresses and do her top knot and all. Duncan would look funny in a dress!

I said boys because I have a boy, but would love to have a girl also (but I decided against it because Conner would probably be so jealous, as he is 2 now and used to having mama to himself). Conner is completely potty trained and does not mark in the house. He is soooo smart and is a mama's boy, although he loves daddy also. I only decided on a boy because I saw Conner's picture and he looked so sassy (and, believe me, he is). He is my best bud (besides hubby).

I really love both. I like girls because they are fun to dress up and they have attitudes.

But I voted boys because I find them to be more snuggly and they seem more dependant and attached.

I voted Girls:) Even though i do have 4 boys;) Iam closer to my girls in a diffrent way, Like molly is sooo spoied and needy and my boys are way more independtent:p good post:)

Having owned three males...I can tell you they are much more dependant, snuggly, and generally less...complaining...if you know what I mean there. ;)

Boys...boys...and more boys!!! I just love them. Winston has NEVER marked in the house...but then he knows it's HIS house...no need to mark it. LOL!!!

My vote goes for the GIRLS!!! I have 3 skinboys so I need a little girl somewhere in my life that I can call mine!!!! She can be a little angel when she wants to be & she can be a little devil too!! sometimes I think we should have named her Cybil! LOL!! but I wouldn't trade her for a million!

Boys all da' way (although cute little girls are so stinkin' cute and I still want another one one day). But boys are more cuddly and their personalities don't waiver with the way the wind blows. ;)

We've never had boys mark in the house. But like Winston, they know it's their house so no need to mark!! :D

I have 2 female and one male. My Male Teddy is just so easy going and cuddly. The girls for sure rules my house..When my Teddy just like to nap...lol
But I really love them all !!;)

I cast my vote for boys hands down. I own both sexes and find that although I definately enjoy dressing up my girls, they tend to be moody...Or, is that PMS'y??? :rolleyes: But, my boys are ALWAYS so snuggly, cuddly and lovable...Just all around lovers! :thumbup:

I can't, no I just can't vote! I have two forever yorkies, a boy and a girl, and I have had two fosters, a boy and a girl. I honestly can't say that I liked the boys or girls better. Each has a completely unique personality. I just love yorkies.:)

i chose boys because i love their outgoing personalities.

my babies never supported the YT theory that boys are more laid back and mommas boys. and girls are more dominant and prissy.


kiele and skoshi were the total opposite.

I voted boys because I have had 4 male yorkies so far, and they've all been momma's boys. My two now are always happy, want to play constantly, and never mark in the house. But I would love to have a girl someday. I'm working on it. ;)

Today I'm voting GIRLS!!! I lost my Male way to early in his life to really enjoy him. My girl does not like hairbow or wet grass. Loves her squeeky toys and being with me. Totally Spoiled. I guess that is why she is the only one. She does not go far from Momma!!! Tami & Grace

I have 1 of each an my boy is just an easier dog. Hes loved and loves everyone. He trains a bit easier than my girl too. Dont get me wrong though I could NEVER live without my girl too.

Love my Hairy Legged Girls!!! no marking,, no wet "business" when ya scoop em up,, lol ,(I forget about that when I scoop up my granddog (Boy),, then I'm like ,, eeeeww,, let me go wash my hands ,,,,again,,lol and just love dressing up my girls,,,so many cute cute things for em! we just have so much fun,,,;)
