I chose girls because my little one is a girl. I've had both sexes growing up and really don't have a preference. I go for whichever captures my heart and my little girl did. |
I must have manifested this thread because I can't decide which gender to purchase..and needed help deciding..I am still undecided. keep them coming.. |
I use to have male dogs exclusivelywhich I loved with all my heart. Lucy is my first female and I have so say I'm sold on little girls - especially for small breeds:) She is so much fun and agreeable to getting dressed up it just makes her fun for me! |
I said boy because that's all I ever owned. Never had a boy that marked in my home but find them loving, snuggly, dependent but always under your feet:p Before I got Buddy I was actually looking into a girl this time and was told the girls can be very moody and have an attitude! I said no thanks. Having raised two daughter's I've been there, done that and no thanks. Boy it was.;) |
The girls are pulling ahead again. Where are all of our Boy Lover!? ;) |
I prefer girls. I have one of each but if I get anymore they will be girls |
I like my girls! :) |
I have one of each, and I cannot say which is my "preference" specifically... I can say that BOYS are much sweeter in general in my experience.... GIRLS have the tendency to have more of an attitude to others and DEFINITELY seem to be a "one person" pup..... so I guess it depends on what kind of pup you prefer..... I wouldnt give up my Hopey for the world, but I sure wish that she was a little more friendly and not so scared of everything.... Tootie, well, he is my boy and sometimes I wish he was a little more "needy" cuz he is very independent.... I truly thing BOYS are better around kids tho.... Hope would have a stroke if she had to live around a young person..... If I get another, it will definitely be a BOY, cuz Hopey the princess would never allow another girl in the house...... LOL d |
I prefer boys for being loving but girls are easier to train and can wear pretty clothes.:D |
I have had both and I have to say I enjoy female dogs more. But honestly it would come down to their personality if I ever chose again. I do love my little girl because I can dress her up..plus honestly past the potty training thing I don't have marking problems. |
I voted girl but only because I can girlie Izzy up. I had two boys in the past and they were awesome too! I wish you would of had a radio button for "both". I just wanted a girl this time but you never know when you go see the puppies it's really who steals your heart and even though I wanted a girl if a boy stole my heart when I went to see Izz they a boy it would have been but after seeing all the pups my Izzy girl stole my heart as soon as her furry butt sashayed towards me!!:D:D:D |
I said boys because Beau is my baby. He is cuddly and calm. He was WAY easier to potty train than Lexie, and he learned tricks easier! Lexie is CRAZY! You can bring her on a 2 mile walk and she will go home and run circles around the house (true story!:p) I love my Lexie but from now on, boys are the way to go!!! |
unfortunately, I see more males for sale because those awful puppy mills just keep a few males and sell the rest. They need more females for breeding. Sad but true. morrislaz |
I love my little boy, but then again, I've never had a girl dog. |
I am a single girl and I think personality wise I get along with boys more. I find them to be more affectionate. Although after hearing about everyones babies, the little girls sound super affectionate and they look so adorable in their clothes and bows! :) |
I voted girls! My children are both boys and I always wanted a little girl but I cannot have anymore children so they are my little girls. I love to put dresses on them and pretty little bows. Boys mark and I can't handle that! |
Girls. I had boys before and I prefer not to deal with the leg lifting. My girls are very sweet and cuddly - every bit as much as the boys I had - and yet they still have that terrier personality (feisty) that I love. Also I love the bows and accessories. I do love boys, I just prefer girls. |
I LOVE my boy Steddy and always will...and this is not to say that I would "NEVER" have another male again because who knows, I just might :p But truthfully, I prefer the females. 2 reasons: #1, they don't mark and #2, they can wear PINK and girly clothes :p |
The one thing I love about girls, you can lay them on their back and rub their bellies...not so easy to do with a boy.:p |
I chose the boy selection..... Funny thing...When we were looking for a baby...I originally wanted a girl....But they were few and far between....Then I was told about Barney....Saw him and had to have him...Then went back and got Ben....(littermates).....Now, Tia is only 6 weeks old...So I can't say anything about her yet...But my boys are the most affectionate and snuggly babies.....They let me do what ever I want with them....And They love belly rubs too....And they have never hiked a leg in the house either...;) Joyce |
I prefer the females. Mine were very easy to house train. Katie is very affectionate and Gracie is in her own way, but she is content to be left alone.:( I have heard very often that the boys are way more affectionate then the girls. I would love to have a boy, but I would worry about the leg lifting and marking everything. |
Girls Rule!!! I love dressing up my little Zoe! I've seen male yorkies dressed up and wearing "manly bows" lol but I prefer pampering the little girls! |
I gotta say Boys!!! Only due to my current girl I have right now... She is the ultimate Bitch... (check webster you will see her picture) ;) I am not for all the bitch fighting and all. Leg lifting can be dealt with using a belly band or weiny wrap. :) Plus my boy was a little more affectionate then my girl. She is way more independent, which is a good thing I suppose. Heck I dunno its just my choice. LOL Roni |

I'm getting a girl in two weeks so we'll see how it goes. Franklin will always have that place in my heart, though. :) |
