| How long do you walk your yorkie? Just curious to see how long everyone walks their Yorkie(s), on average, daily. If you go for more than 1 walk a day, just combine the time.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | We do 2 now that I moved from a house to an apartment and usually less than 10 minutes in the morning cause I have to go to work - and IF there are no big dogs & the girls don't see any kitties - a little longer when I get home...... Chanel is a puller and I worry about her when we walk because she gets SO winded - I don't know if it's excitement or just the different harnesses but she pants for an hour after our walks...Cheri doesn't so I'm getting kind of worried about Chanel....but man - they LOVE their walks If I could just get them to QUIT ANNOUNCING it to the world I'd be happy - they bark their butts off while getting 'dressed' then once we step outside they stop.... |

| We usually just walk to potty, but sometimes we will go on longer walks that are about 30 minutes. I chose the 10min or under though because most walks are just to potty

| We don't usually go on walks but we play fetch with the two little ones three or four times a day for about 30 minutes each time. Adie runs at full speed so I don't see any need for a walk. Now that Ivan can't go on walks that is a plus for me! |

| I go to school Monday's and Wednesdays so I walk him for an hour on those days and on the other days I do the same or for just an half an hour. Saturdays my DH and I take Luis on a 6 mile walk usually just under and hour and a half. He loves it. Except if he has to wear his jacket...he throws a fit then forgets he's wearing anything once we are outside

| We walk to towards the front entrance of the development and back and then sometimes around the house. A total of about 1 mile. Sometimes we stop and visit with the other fur babies in the neighborhood.

| I always wondered about the treadmill thing too. I think it's Cesar Millan who I read about that gets dogs to do that but I'm not sure.

| Depending on the weather, I walk mine about 20 mins during winter and about 40-45 mins to an hour during spring/summer/fall.

| This winter their walks have mostly been about 10 mins twice a day. It's just been too cold and stormy. In nice weather, they get walked 30-45 mins each day.

| My little Gabby is such a brat that she doesn't even like the cold sidewalk! Walks are few around here! You guys are lucky! |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I said 10 to 30, but I do that twice a day. They probably average 20 minutes each. I also take them out to the dog park once a week to romp for an hour.

| I walk Conner every morning in the spring/summer/fall before work (about 15 -20 minutes). When I get home, we walk for 45 minutes to an hour. On weekends, we go to the park to walk for an hour (went to the park today). We only walk when temps are 32 deg. or higher. In the heat of summer, we walk in the morning and evening. Conner loves his walks. When I get home, he waits at the door for me to get his leash (little brat).

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | My babies get walked for approx. 15-20 minutes each time (probably closer to 20 minutes - and sometimes, it may even be a little over that). We do this twice a day.
