My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Would you buy a Yorkie with a tail? I am just curious This is not a debate thread of what is right or wrong, I am just curious how important a docked tail is to everyone. (granted this isn't a question for the yorkie owner who shows their yorkie) Thanks! Me personally, I don't think I'd have a problem with it. I am thinking about holding back a female from my next breeding and have thought of not getting her tail done. Just thinking..... Last edited by Breny; 03-09-2008 at 08:29 AM. |

| If the dog and I were suited for each other the tail would not bother me at all. My daughter got a min-pin and refused to have his tail docked. She didn't want him to feel any pain. She told the owner's not to have it docked. |

| I love the docked tails. Dior's little nub wagging crazily in the morning always brings a smile to my face

| I love how expressive my Biewer's tail is so I would probably request an undocked tail if I every bought a puppy (vs. having a dog rehomed with me).

| I bought one from Hungary with a long tail. To be honest I like the docked better, but I would buy one again with a long tail if I liked everything else about the dog. |

| I love both so I would definitely get one with a tail . They look adorable with them - and they are much easier to catch than a li'l nubby.

| Yorkie In England starting April 2007 it became illegal to dock any dog's tails...so I don't have a choice really. The showing industry has no idea what to do now. The lady I'm buying my dog from said that all of the rules for showing revolve around the dog's posture and length of tail...etc. So they have to now make new rules. I just don't understand why we can't dock the dogs tails but they can give a baby boy a circumcision.
