LUV my 3 Furrs & Alex Donating Member | Both of mine have their tails undocked and they are the sweetest, I have got sooooooo many compliments on them from both ppl here in the UK and from ppl on YT. I would buy one either way.

| NO to tail docking! I am currently looking after a friends yorkie and her 3 pups that are 27 days old today. I requested that she consider not docking the tails...unfortunately 2 were docked and mine was left alone! To me it makes no sense to have tails docked...if there are laws in some countries to prohibit docking there must be a reason. |

| If all of the pups that you sell have docked tails but the dogs that you are keeping have long tails, I would consider it a personal preference on your part as long as you explained to me that you like it better to keep them longer for yourself I might be okay with it. We all like different things and that is fine... I wouldn't automatically not buy from a breeder who didn't have their breeding dogs docked. I would not buy from a breeder who doesn't dock the puppies (for sale) though.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Yeah I'm still thinking about it but I'm sure I would most likely still have my own docked too. Its nice seeing all the differnet opinions though. I guess seriously I think I may question the breeder myself if the tails were not docked. And I, at this point, don't know for sure if I would buy an undocked or not. I think if I ever decided to stop breeding and was holding a pup back, at that point I wouldn't see a reason to dock it. LOL...oh geesh...can you tell, I still havn't made my mind up one way or another but its interesting seeing the different views |

| With the question, "would I buy one", aww, probably not. But we all know how it is with Yorkies. If that special one came along that just tugged on my heart, I would have to say yes. I do know that if the tail wasn't docked by the time I got the dog, I would definitely not have it done. I believe if you are going to have the tail docked, the sooner the better. I believe it's by the time the puppy is 5-6 days old. My breeder has hers done by the time the puppy is 4 days old. But a Yorkie, is a Yorkie. We love them all, no matter what! Darlene |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I like to have my pups tails done at 4 days, later if they are small, but everyone has their own way. |

| My breeder has become a good friend of mine, so I go see her puppies quite often. She has a little one that is due anyday now, so I will make sure I am there. Dar |
