I love all of the names. Of course I am partial to Avalon since that is what I just named my new baby! We go sailing to Catalina every summer and we love Avalon! Her call name is Ava.

I also like Malta! You didn't mention it as an actual choice but said it was the city where the maltese originated. I like that but I voted for Mellieha.

Congratulations on your decision to gat a maltese!

I'll probably get her when I come home from China in January. I am looking for a good breeder now.

I am really leaning toward Mellieha. I think its original because obviously no one has heard of it, and its a super cool city in Malta where Maltese are from! its pronouced Ma-lee-uh.

My Friend's Daughter's name is Maliyah sounds like it's pronounced the same as Mellieha. But I love the way you spelled it. Sounds like the late R&B singer Aaliyah's name too I love it! happy picking.. and congrats whenever you get your Maltese. I am doing the same, trying to make my hubbie buy me a maltese for my 22nd birthday at the end of August..and all of our friends and family said they'd pitch in I'm so excited. here comes a girlfriend for Tiny Baci

Oh and my second choice is Maia Floriana is that pronounced Mya like the R&B singer? LOL I have music in the brains heh heh But I love the uniqeness of this name and the way it rolls off your tongue Maia Floriana very exotic

Hehehe I know.. I'm just playing.. My friend has 2 malteses and her boy who is ten also seems to want to go at it with his sister (who is 2) so i joke around and say they are more than just brother and sister!!
