| I always have my Vet take xrays after 56 days. It sure helps from guessing and worrying. Give your Vet a call and ask. Holly will need a shot after whelping and the pups will need their tails docked and dew claws removed. Great time to talk to your Vet if you haven't. Be careful, always remember a C section may happen. I never had any problems until I breed Lily. With my Vet we were prepared just in case and twice we had to have C sections. I don't mean to cast a shadow, I am sure your very excited. But one never knows and it is heart warming to be prepared with your Vet. Good luck

| Maggie's had 3 litter's and had 2 puppies each time boy/girl. On her last litter the boy (my Rocky) was 6 oz at birth and his sister (Jilly) was 8 oz at birth (she's an 11lb T-pot) Sunshine has had 3 litter's and had 2 puppies each time boy/girl with the boy about an ounce bigger than his sister. I always have x-ray's done 4-5 days before she's due. Especially after Jilly. I want to know how big the bodies and heads are & how they're laying, which side the bigger one is on.

| Chloe has never had any pups. But my aunt's Yorkie, Sandy, had 5 pups of which only 4 were born alive. The fist one also was born half dead but was revived with honey, and in fact she was named Honey!

| Good Luck! If I ever have another Litter, which I doubt very much since it's alot of work and worry.......I set aside my Job, Gym Training, my Social Life everything else in my Life. Every waking moment was dedicated to their care and well being. And unlike other Breeders I kept all 3 of the puppies until they were @ least 20 weeks old, we were at the Vets. Office every 3 weeks, and I paid for every bit of it out of my own pocket. Next time I would definitly get my Mother X-Rayed, so I would know exactly how many she was having? Forget the Surprise......she was in Labor from Friday @ 9 pm., until Saturday 8 am. had her first a male, and then the 2nd a female @ 10 am. and then the last female at 10 pm. Saturday Night! I thought she was done giving birth after the second one, I bathed her, fed her, took her to use the bathroom etc. We were all tucked in ready for bed and I just ran to the kitchen to get something to drink? When I got back in Bed she had the last puppy between her legs (I was gone only a minute)? From what I've heard 3 is pretty average and anything more is rare? But in general the larger the Female the more puppies she can carry? From what I have experienced and seen from other Breeders that are Friends too. Good Luck! |

| My Kaylee had 2 her first litter and 4 her second. She was so big during her second; I don't think she could have fit another baby in there if she wanted to - hehe. I can't image having 6+ puppies in a little Yorkie but I know it happens. |

| Litter of five Our litter was bigger than we expected. Five, however one died in the first two days and another had to be put down after 4 weeks. |

| Both Chizzie and Chattie had 3 pups in their first litter. I always have my girls xrayed so that I know how many to expect. |

| Francis53's Sassy is Milli's mommy, and she has large litters...There were 6 in Milli's litter, 6 in the one before, and 5 in the last litter. I'm not sure if she xrays before or not, but thought I'd share

| # of pups Informative purposes only!(as I am not a breeder per se and it was unintentional) My girl had 4 pups all healthy ranging from 2oz,21/2 oz,30z,and 4oz.she went in labor and started crowning on my lap.her birthing was a breeze.I don't know how many litters she had before and her age as in question bet 5-10 yrs,I got her from a breeder who retired her.It was a mistake on my part her getting pregnant.I went to two different vets and both said she was not pregnant.I did not do an xray because the breeding was not intended and I was not sure she was pregnant and if so how far.I am a stay at home mom so I just watched her like a hawk.then I read everything I could online so I could get all supplies and help.I made sure all after birth was out with each pup, tied the cords and she didn't need the oxy shot.GOOD LUCK

| Sasha is my 6 lb. mama, had 5 her 1st litter & 4 her 2nd litter. Scooter ,5 lb. mama, had 4 babies Sushi 4 1/2 lb. mama, had 3 boys on Christmas day all have been healthy & moms did great during delivery. Xrays were not done but I predicted accurately the # of pups expected by listening for heartbeats with a stethescope. I also am present for all the deliveries to help if any problems should arise. |

| Molly had four in her litter. Three girls and one boy she had a classic text book pregnancy and delivery. I let her decide when to stop nursing which came at 7 weeks and she was a very attentive perfect mom. Good Luck.
