| Cannnon SX120 Does anyone have one? I'm thinking of getting one, my only concern is I might like a remote control. But not sure how important that is |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | The camera should have a timer, which is kinda the same...does it have one?

It would just be nice to be able to be able to snap it from a distance, so I can be closer to the dog and have more control. I will definitely be getting a tripod.

As far as tripods, personally I don't believe in spending much $ - I got either the cheapest or next-to-cheapest one at Target and it's just fine for my D90, which is heavy compared to a non-DSLR, if that helps .

This one that I'm looking at has a lot of manual settings, so once I get those figured out, I might be compelled to upgrade. Right Now I'd just like to eliminate the flash and have a camera that is not so slow. By the time it snaps the picture, the dog is long gone.

So, can you get a remote w/ this one you're looking it...that seems like an important feature with what you're wanting to use the camera for. Also, I wonder if you can find a compact camera that has a flash that can be "tilted" or "bounced" - that would seal the deal!

| I have the Canon SX110 as my "point and shoot" camera and it works GREAT! For not being a DSLR, it's awesome. I was always very happy w/ pictures with it and still am but I obviously use my DSLR more now. I love love loved the 10x zoom. Here's some pictures I took with it... The only reason I wanted to upgrade to the DSLR was because it's more consistent with getting a good shot nearly EVERY single time you take a photo and because of the timing. I used to miss good action shots. But other than that, I'm just a technical geek and get a new camera every 6 months, it seems.

| Wow those are some great shots. No it does not have the capability of a remote, or a flash that will tilt. I don't find any in that price range that offer those features. |
