There are EF and EFS lens, The EF-s lens are only compatible with Canon cameras that have the red dot and white square on the mount.

Thanks for the info and the links. I did not mean for you to do the research for me. LOL I just thought someone might know. But I appreciate that you did.

I will look into those books. I have been reading tutorials on line, but think a book might be more indepth.

I love to learn and am the type of person that when I decide to do something, I study it to death. I have even looked for classes at the local community college. None were offered for the upcoming semester but I'm sure they will be eventually.

The books are great , they are full of photos and each one tells the aperture, shutter speed and ISO so you can see what results you will get.

That' s what I need because the manual just touches on the subject and the print is so small i have to use the online version to be able to read it.

I took some photos in raw format but cannot see the difference. I have not figured out the software for the RAW editing yet,.

Well, the body was delivered today .

My DW & I can't agree on which lens to get . My DW wants the 18-200 lens & I want the 18-105 lens. Don't want to get both. I went to BestBuy today, & they had a D90 with the 18-105. I thought it was near perfect, especially its feel/weight. They did not have an 18-200 for me to look at. I think the 18-200 will be too heavy. The reviews favor the 18-200. So, I ordered the 18-200.

Does the D90 have the capability to store any photos without a memory card?

Woo Hoooooooooo!! So excited for you!!! Can't say that I've held the 18-200, so I don't know the extent of the diff. btwn the 105mm vs. 200mm - but if you ordered from Amazon, they'll return in it in a heartbeat. I love the 18-105 bc of size and it is a VR lens, but if the 200 is around the same size etc, you'll probably love it just like you did the 105, ya know?

Also, you can usually compare lens weights on Amazon...

As far as memory cards...trying to recall...but I honestly cannot remember storing photos on my D40 or D90 w/out a card, argh....but I don't know for sure!
