Oh! I grate fresh nutmeg into any greens I make! Adds a little unknown wow factor :) |
Let's see... What's a hob? Lol... I love garlicky roasties! I add a dash of nutmeg to hamburgers and meatloaf and gravy...yum. (Courtesy of Rachel Ray) Great on string beans and creamed spinach too. I add fennel seed to spaghetti sauce (about 3-5 seeds to a potful) I add lemon juice to most soups, and one or two whole cloves to chicken soup. |

I'll have to try the nutmeg trick! |
Lots of great suggestions here that I need to try....Fennel, Nutmeg, cumin :) but will have to pass on the chicken feet  I always use lemon pepper/garlic power to my dishes....(not much of a salt person).....love oregano/rosemary/cilantro/basil/dill, which I have growing. |
What is the big deal about chicken feet? Flavor comes from bones, skin, fat. What do you think commercial chicken stock is made from? Expensive cuts of breast with no fat or skin? Yeah right. You make stock and broth from leftover parts you can't eat. Same with making shrimp or fish stock with shells, bones, heads. You guys need to open your eyes. You are already eating a lot of stuff you deem gross without even knowing. Like carageenan/kelp/seaweed. It's in a lot of meats (cold cuts), it's in gelatin, it's in your makeup you put on your face. I say that much less gross than the chemicals and crap they put in your McDs. |

All of you J-E-L-L-O lovers????? :sidesplt::sidesplt: Plus everyone DISCARDS the things that add true flavor to a dish! Shrimp shells and heads/tails , meat and poultry bones, gizzards.......chicken feet.....:arrow: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/album.php?albumid=8906 |
I actually love gizzards too. I can't believe that Chinese restaurants don't serve gizzards. I have to go to Roscoes (soul food) to get them as an entree! |

I also love Rumaki !!!!! |
Is it strange to eat goat? My "not so secret ingredient" for goat is curry :D:D:D |
I never make mac and cheese without adding pureed cauliflower or squash and I never make tacos without adding refried beans :thumbup: oh, and my mashed potatoes are usually at least 50% cauliflower :D:D:D |
