don't I wish but he works so darn hard and does the bulk of the heavy work around her, LOL I guess I feel it is my wifely duties, but honestly he is easy because I just cook up a bunch of one dish (plain) casserole meals and freeze them, then he heats it up right before he goes to bed. Crazy life we lead since we rarely eat a meal at the same time, but I have a lot of friends where their husbands refuse to eat leftovers. |
Well at least he eats the leftovers and doesn't complain it's the same thing over and over again. BF won't eat two meals of the same thing in a row. If I love something, I can eat it morning, noon and night. |

Pea soup? YUCK! barf gag eww argh!!!!!!!!! :D Maybe it's time for me to try pea soup again. I've had it twice before as a kid and omg no thanks! Generally I don't like peas. I don't like the "sandy" texture. |

mine doesn't taste sandy, plus, you were a kids. We all know taste buds mature (for most of us ) |
I also would not have touched it as a kid, only started liking it in the last few years I don't do much to it, just the peas, lots of grated carrots, and left over honey baked ham and cook it a long time. Not a fan of onions that have not been well browned so I leave that out. |

joining this thread late. I LOVE pea soup... it is a must when ever we have ham. I have made it with ham bone and vegeratian style. LOVE it.. My dh is like dblain's a pain in the butt when it comes to food. His idea of spice is salt. He hates any heat and he hates pepper. He thinks he will die if he gets onion or green peppers (he is still alive...). I find the best for him is make up a pot of ox tail soup or pea soup or something like that and he will have that for dinner for several days. If I ask him what do you want for dinner he always answers "left overs" I tell him some one has to cook to have left overs...he does not get the concept! So.. for sub. .. I am looking at a mock tuna salad recipe made with chickpeas...what do you think???? |
