I LOVE lamb! I don't know what this "gamey" taste that people are referring to. It tastes like beef but better. |

I've never had lamb either. But, I did think about you when I was at the store yesterday and saw pink himalayan salt... I love duck though. My son shot one last Christmas and we breasted it out and put it on the grill. DELICIOUS!!! |
Speaking of duck- I had Quail (sp) the other day, my friends hubby bbq'd it, it was good way better than chicken! |

Love, love, love lamb - of course either 'traditionally' roasted, or neck fillet slow cooked in a crockpot, or (best of all!) lamb shanks cooked for hours in the oven in mint, onion and red wine gravy, or lamb chops grilled with garlic butter + rosemary.... BUT.....we gave up eating it a while back. We've friends who own a farm and I was cuddling one of their little newborn lambs that had been orphaned. Next time we visited, we were sat down eating dinner....you can guess the rest. Yep, it was Little Dolly....I could have thrown up :sickie::eek: x |
My dad use to BBQ goat & mutton for the fourth of july..he always killed one at that time, but it is not something that is plentiful in stores to buy, but have seen on occasion around the fourth. |
