| Woooo hoooo! You're all going to be so happy!!! There's an article in today's newspaper: EATING PIZZA HERB 'COULD CURE CANCER' Eating pizza topped with oregano could help treat prostate cancer - the killer of 10,000 men each year. Experts found a compound in the herb, also found in pasta sauces (), causes cancer cells to 'commit suicide'. Dr. Supriya Bavadekar, a professor at Long Island University, USA, said "We know that oregano possesses anti-bacterial as well as anti-inflammatory properties. It's effects on cancer cells really elevate it to the level of a super-spice, like turmeric. This super-spice may represent a very promising therapy for patients with prostate cancer". Scientists already know eating pizza could cut the risk of cancer due to a substance found in tomato sauce. Wooo hooo! x |

Yes, as the heat builds, several of my herbs suffer. I do have success with container planting though. I'll move the containers to shadier areas as the sun gets too strong.

| Culantro and cilantro are almost identical in flavor with culantro being a touch stronger tasting.. Culantro holds up better in cooking and in hot weather.
