| I will have to retake the test for bf and see what he gets. I will post the results. ![]() Wow, even though bf is really picky (IMO) he got a 45. I think it has to do with asian cuisine was on there quite a lot.

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Squirrel actually very good, but I guess it depends how the hunter treats it or dresses it? Anyway, there are things you can do to take away the gamey taste, whatever that is, it sounds horrible. Anyway, the squirrel I had, tasted a lot like chicken thighs cooked in gravy. The hunter was a friend of the family and I also tried venison through him, and it was the best steak I ever had.

| I would not - they look too rodent-y. Are squirrels rodents? Yuck. Levi would totally eat squirrel...he's always trying to catch one and eat it, anyway. Quote:
You voluntarily ate it, knowing what it was? I'm impressed. I would have run away crying, I think.

| My brother is a big hunter so I have tried a few varieties of wild game...venison, bear and of course the squirrel when I was young. Venison is good if cooked correctly, but I didn't care for bear it is very fatty..yuck. We raise beef cattle and if you eat free range beef that isn't put up and fed a grain diet, it has a gamey taste too. ( we have raised cattle for 30+ years and I have yet been able to convice DH to keep one for our own use, he says he can't eat something he has raised ) Most store bought beef is from cattle that have been penned up and fed grain only.
